Bright Creators 2 - January 09
@0:10 - beth
Hey there, I'm a couple minutes late.
@0:13 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, that seems to be the vibe.
@0:16 - beth
Yeah, it's been a long week so far. I made some really cool progress on something. So I have to say, my husband even said, I think having Michael in the group is holding you accountable, like subconsciously, because like, I've been planning trying to do all this stuff for so long, but just never ever tasted, I guess, like I've just never cut the time into it.
But I have my Kajabi site almost done. I'm like, this close, and then I can start loading in videos and start creating more content, just migrating it all over.
So I'm like, right there. I can share you with you a link so you can see what I'm talking about.
@0:54 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
It's not done yet.
@0:54 - beth
So yeah, it's a fair warning. Yeah, let me. there. It's in progress. So not everything works. But that's kind of, I'm getting there.
I'm migrating stuff slowly. Oh, this looks beautiful. Thank you.
@1:21 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
your logo.
@1:23 - beth
Thanks. It was funny as my daughter. She took one look at all my flower pictures and because I have one of like a bunch of dahlias.
She sat there and she goes, wow, did you get AI to build that?
@1:32 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I'm like, no, actually, all my pictures were before AI. And I'm like, that's going to be a question I get.
I know, right? That's wild. That's funny. That was her first thought.
@1:45 - beth
She's nine, to be clear.
@1:48 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Wow, interesting.
@1:49 - beth
Yeah. So yeah, so my goal is to try to have the freebie kick off the library and then addition to the library, I have services and then
in addition to those I'll have um digital stuff that they can go download that they can skip all that if they're just like I want to have the planets I have a calculator that you punch in your zip code and it tells you everything you need to know about your space.
From your heartiness zone when you should seed start depending on whatever plants you select like it calculates it all for you.
And then it also um I have a place where based on your grow zone and based on your eco region a list of key stone native plants that you can buy and a list of providers that you can go with.
So it's just a matter of making it like I said I'm just setting up the infrastructure.
@2:39 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah I love it. Got the full system going. Yeah and yeah definitely having something like this just to like keep one accountable of okay what's happening next.
I think it's helpful. Yeah.
@2:56 - beth
The thing that um do you use active campaign by any
@3:00 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
or do you use like the built-in emails? I use the built-in emails in Kajabi.
@3:04 - beth
Okay, cool. So I went ahead and I got active campaigns so I can do some segmentation. I was doing some fun stuff because you don't have to have Zappier to connect the two.
@3:15 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
That's what I learned I thought you would have to.
@3:17 - beth
You actually don't. So you can just do active campaign and Kajabi connected automatically together and then you just have to maintain your contacts in Kajabi, but active campaign is unlimited.
So you don't have to have access to Kajabi to have active campaign emails go out. So I'm still trying to figure out bad automation to clean up because I do get an obscene amount of people following me and still even though I haven't been posting a while.
So that's fun.
@3:45 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, yeah. have found that Kajabi's, their email software is quite great. You can add tags, assessments, sorts of things.
So potentially you might be able to just use Kajabi.
@3:58 - beth
Although you said you do have. at large lists, so. Yeah, I want to try to test it though. want to test it with kajabi first and then just because I've kind of ghosted people, which I feel bad, like huge lists, but I just haven't done anything with it for so long that I'm like, you know what, I don't know if they're still committed to it.
So the most likely will be, but I want to be sure. then that way, if it does span up, then I can just turn on active campaign and have at it.
But I want to at least have the system there. So that's my goal.
@4:27 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Awesome. Love it. Welcome Caroline.
@4:34 - Caroline
Hello.
@4:36 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Good to have you here. We missed you last week.
@4:39 - Caroline
Thank you. Good to be here. I actually watched the recording today, I feel like I was with you all already.
Nice.
@4:48 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Excellent.
@4:50 - beth
That's really cool. You tried out the prompts. There's a lot of different kinds and you can customize them like really specific to what it is that you're aiming for.
@4:58 - Caroline
All kidding. The kitty has recently found out that getting on the computer during times of- It's a different thing.
It's a thing for me. Yeah, I enjoyed it. Sorry, just had a cookie. like caught in my throat. Yeah, I can't do too much chat GDPF to be honest.
I'm just like one of the people that gets overwhelmed with the energy of the system. But I did a couple of those prompts.
They were fun for me to put that in there because of that reason. So, like, it helped me take breaks.
Yeah, just get a little more like, I talk really nicely to chat GTP.
@5:36 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I was like, I could talk even more nicely. Not even better. Okay, let's do that.
@5:40 - Caroline
Sometimes I'm like, maybe I'm being too nice. Like, maybe I should just tell it what to do.
@5:45 - beth
No, it's good. The thing that I also learned because of the enormous amount of energy that's required to run a lot of those computations, a lot of the systems.
It doesn't matter what AI system you use. It takes an enormous amount of energy. Which kind of counteracts the sustainability effort that I Subscribe to so I always try to run more efficiently that way You can get more out of it rather than run like 20 prompts I'll run one but I'll have them all link together and then I'll name it and then I'll have a separate document like so that we It's still runs, but it's a lot more effective So that's that's what I try to do so a lot of my prompts are big and those were the smallest ones that I was able to grab Wow Wow, yeah, no seems like you're such an expert.
@6:29 - Caroline
I love that. mean we all need that right now feel like more than anything so it's super helpful.
@6:34 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Thank you Awesome Well Let's start looks like it's gonna be the three of us today, which is wonderful So let's start with just some check-ins how you're doing and where you are currently at And wherever you're currently at is perfect no matter where you're at in the process
I'm just looking at what process are you at, you started building, have you started creating, have you built a project, you into the masterclass phase, or are you still just kind of thinking about what it is?
So since Beth arrived first, let's start with you.
@7:16 - beth
So I'll share it here. I shared it with Michael a little bit ago. I'm in a tween. So psychologically where I'm at, working everything is stressful.
So I'm trying to stay in the growth mindset of like, this is where I'm going, this is what I know what I do.
So I'm trying to stay focused onto that. I do know what I want the freebie to be. I also do know what I want the paid stuff to be.
Then there's two different kinds of paid things. But it ultimately, I think I needed the infrastructure set up. So I put a link in the chat.
That's my current site. I'm migrating everything from Wix. I had a whole bunch of disparate systems. So I'm migrating everything from Wix and all my tools over to Kajabi.
And then my goal is because I have such a huge email list, I don't know if Kajabi can handle.
Well, I know I can handle some really good emails, but I don't know if my email list wants to stay committed or not.
So I don't want to assume, but I wanted to have an alternative. So I'm going to use active campaign connected straight into Kajabi to save some time and money, because active campaign does a ton more emails.
It's like, I think the system that I'm in is 10x, whatever your context list is. So that lets you do things like segmentation analysis.
So like in your email, you won't have to leave it. You can just stay in your email and say, yes, I want to opt in and then I'm not going to get a link to the freebie.
Like that's the goal. But I wanted to set up the infrastructure. So I took some time this past week to migrate as much as I could.
I'm still in the process of it because customizing your site in Kajabi is making me dust off my engineering skills.
So JavaScript and HTML, fun fact, and try to be taken help you write some of it. So that's the link to my site.
Getting the services up, getting everything going. My goal is to try to launch the video in the library in less than a week.
So this time next week, knock on wood, fingers crossed, we can start doing some testing, but I'm still in the process of migrating all my videos.
And at the same time, I don't know what's going on with TikTok. So I'm trying to free up and download all of my content so I can use that potentially, but that's been tough.
So it's just everything seems to be hitting all at once. And I'm trying to prioritize and not get exhausted and burned out.
But honestly, I think having this crew and knowing that we check in on Thursday's has been helping me hold myself accountable because I've been dragging my heels for so long, trying to create and trying to get things going that I think this is actually helping.
It's helping make sure that I stay in touch with it. But I still haven't posted again in a long time.
Like I've gotten people messaging me, they're like, are you still alive? Yes. It's just, I'm trying to re-up and get this built.
It's massive, can't. So that's crying bad. Feel free to take a look at it. Like I said, not all the links work.
Not everything is updated. So like I'm trying to finagle some things together. But there's a lot of it on there.
And all those pictures are real to be clear.
@10:15 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
None of them were AI.
@10:17 - beth
My daughter asked me. She asked if my flower photos were fake or if they were AI because they're really bright.
I'm like, no, they were real. showed her the raw photos. So yeah.
@10:28 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Beautiful. Yeah, your website's looking great. Absolutely great. Love all the animations. It's come together very nicely.
@10:36 - beth
the logo you've created.
@10:39 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Beautiful.
@10:41 - beth
Thanks.
@10:42 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, awesome. Yeah, totally understand with desiring the foundation and kind of switching things over, just feeling like it's it's there.
know, so people click around. They'll see an actual website.
@10:55 - beth
Yeah, that way when we launch the free week, like the masterclass for the freebie. is going to really help.
I tested the idea out with some folks that I'm really close to that know what I do and some previous clients that have reached out because I get emails all the time saying like here's what I've done since we met here's the garden that I've done and so I'm like hey if I had this would you do it like without being interesting and every single one of them was like yes so I tested it and it was 32,000 people on the email list that I tested just to see if they would do it and I had a hundred percent response and a hundred percent people said yes so I feel confident but also I'm like are they just being nice like hmm well that's a great ratio that you've got and yeah I'm sure I'm sure people be interested it's yeah it's really cool what you do and it sounds you've got some followers who are there specifically for what that is that you have to offer which is perfect absolutely perfect
@12:01 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Awesome, Beth. Caroline.
@12:08 - Caroline
Say hi. All right. first of all, Elizabeth, I love your website. It's beautiful. Like, I'm so your client, because everything you do, I love.
I'm like, oh my gosh, this is adorable. I would always sign up for the freebie. And I'm sure pay for course too.
I don't think people are just being nice. I just think that you do a really good job. And they're excited to, like, dive into your magic.
So stop on yourself, short girl. Let's see. I, we were gone for like nine days in Mexico. Michael, got intense food poisoning this time.
@12:55 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Oh, man. I got, I got food poisoning when we were all in Mexico. So I know what that's like.
@13:02 - Caroline
I know what that's like. It was so bad. Like a bad taco, I guess. anyway, I got to purge as I moved from 2024 to 2025.
Massive portal for me. I thought I was going to die. Anyway, I did take time to test out and masterclass thing that I already had while I was gone and just do post some stuff on TikTok.
J used to Kajabi again and so that was good. I realized that I 100% need to use Michael's master class framework because like a ton of people are watching the masterclass and they're like, I love this.
is so great. But they don't buy. And I think it's because like I just get there like this is awesome.
I can work on this for like the next three months. So I basically gave them all like the goods in the masterclass.
not all of them, but one of like the really the juiciest things. So I'm excited to recreate one and I, oh, let's see, this is where I am.
I'm still thinking about doing, I've had some other ideas, but I'm going to stick to the passive income because I feel that's like where my highest excitement is and so what I'm thinking you know, I was going to do like three like specific passive income things that they could do and like a certain amount of time, but I think what I'm going to do now is a vault of like five.
So I'm thinking like a passive income vault so that it can just have five, maybe they'll end up being seven, but I think it'll be five.
So it'll just be really simple and people can be like, oh, that one's not for me. I'm going to watch these three or these two or whatever and not have it be like so setting up these specific three passive incomes, but it gives them more of a choice and creativity space to be creative with it.
and I've just been creating those and what those are going to be and then from watching last week and the other stuff I'm going to just create a masterclass for freebie that just talks about how important that is like how important past income is and how it can be live changing and you know all the things that are in there and the one thing I do have a question about there's probably more than this but right now I one of the other things I'm really passionate about which Elizabeth actually both of you guys are going to totally get this but is helping women search for and buy land because when I bought my lands I had so much trepidation even though I wanted the land but in actual buying process I almost like backed out like five times because I didn't feel like there was like this weird subconscious thing that came up that was like oh I shouldn't be buying land without a man's like approval of like the land or checking everything out and these things right so I ended up with a
did is I had a woman real estate agent actually check it out for me, which helped me like move forward in the process, but it was so crazy to me that that was coming up because at that part of my life I was just so like all about sovereignty and you know all these things so surprising to me that like that was still coming up.
So I was thinking about doing adding a bonus that and the thing is I'm not sure if this is going to be or if it should be a separate a bonus around searching for and buying land as a bonus and then in that also talking about how that land can create passive income, different ways that you can create passive income from land.
And then the other thing I wanted to share is that I think of an order bump could be my current like feminine money makeover course, but I'm wondering Michael for an order bump do you like what price point do you like to be at because I guess that's the thing I'm
thinking like should I do something easier like I could do how to create like I go really simple and be like how to create your five money buckets like I call them pools and streams but like so many women when I was doing private one-on-one work in my mastermind like they literally that was like such a huge step for them was to create like five different allocations for their money that was coming in so that's just without some feedback on that I think that's pretty much where I am hmm beautiful so for the order bump that's the little checkbox it appears when you're checking out that's usually a much lower ticket like 20 bucks something where it just like adds a little bit extra to the ticket price okay um so like a class like yeah or or you just described sounds perfect okay and then the upsell is usually a little bit more so bump is smaller a lot of people will check that just to know sure I'll add that on you
@18:00 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
want to make it nice and easy for them to just add it on. And then the upsell, you can have like a video if you want, you can really go all that with the upsell.
So that's, yeah, I would put the larger larger one after they purchase.
@18:13 - Caroline
Okay, so they purchase and then it goes to that page which upsells them to the mini master class. Okay, cool.
@18:23 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, so they'll purchase whatever you have to offer and they can check the box just to add on the extra like $20 offer.
And then the next thing you get upsell to a course or something that's like, okay, so the upset only come off of people that make the purchase then for them.
Yeah, yeah. So it's like they watch your master class. And then they're like, I'm super excited to purchase what she has to offer.
And it goes to the checkout page and then on the checkout page that they purchase to get whatever you're offering in that master class, that is where they can also check the bump to get next to $20.
And then right after that, there's like, something else that you can upsell.
@19:02 - Caroline
Okay, okay, cool. And the only other thing for me is that yeah, what's your take on TikTok? Is it going away with hacking?
know, we don't ever know, right?
@19:13 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
don't know until the moment. Yeah, yeah, it's super interesting. I mean, it's really fascinating how like Donald Trump is trying to halt it from being taken off of the app stores.
And it's like, as far as I see it right now, as long as you have it, you can still use it.
And so everyone who's still on it can just still be on it or have been talks of like not being able to use it.
And then also like, if you use a VPN to get on it, you can get arrested, like there's some weird stuff.
I don't know if those have been taken out of the bills that they've been looking into, there's some like weird big brother stuff that has also been run through there.
I don't I've always been very optimistic, but. who knows what's going to happen, there's so much going on behind the scenes in terms of like money, like TikTok is just making a lot right now, especially with their shop, and there's so many people making money on it.
I'm kind of just intrigued as to what's going to happen because we've never had anything like this where you've got tons of Americans who are like their entire business is on TikTok.
And the government's trying to just be like, yeah, we're just to, I'm ready for people to grab those pitchforks, you know?
So we'll see. We'll see what happens, but yeah, I'm kind of optimistic about it all. And if it does, if something does happen where it gets completely wiped away, something will feel void.
And, you know, I've been following social media since Friendster and Demise-based to Facebook and Instagram. It's like, it's the one thing about social media is it's always
evolving. Always evolving. Yeah, we'll see. I really hope that it does stay. really like TikTok.
@21:08 - beth
I like it more than Instagram. I like it more than all the social media platforms right now.
@21:12 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
The vibe is better. The comments are better. The people are much more optimistic about life. Yeah, the vibe is better.
The lives are better. everything is better in my opinion.
@21:24 - Caroline
Yeah, I'm like, no, no.
@21:26 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
But I got sick too.
@21:28 - Caroline
Just my daughter says that she's like, Mom, they're really going to take it away. She said that like two days ago.
She's like, how am I going to live?
@21:34 - beth
Yeah. I honestly think just from my friends, I used to work for Homeland Security. I honestly think having built mobile apps, worked in the tech industry for that and worked on Homeland Security and understand a little bit more about how they would manage the IPs that are going through the actual app stores.
They can block it from being downloaded in the app store so you won't get any updates, but they would not be able to block the
for you to be able to have access to it. only way that they can do that is if you're going through a browser.
Kind of like if you were to look right now, there's a lot of states that can't access certain adult sites.
They're able to block that because they know that the IP address is coming from certain states. So that's the only way that they can do it, but right now there's no other way to enforce it from an app standpoint.
So there's no way for them to be able to arrest if you have access to an app. mean, otherwise if they did that, then the dark web, they would have made a lot more arrests, you know what I'm saying?
So like, it's not possible. That's literally just a hollow thing, it's not a thing at all. So just for my own professional advice, I don't think that would happen.
I do think that if they were to try to ban it, like ban it, meaning they're just going to close off the access to it, I don't think it's going to happen fast.
I think the access to it will probably fade away as TikTok does its updates. That's what I think. but considering a lot of the data centers are already here in the US and are also managed by US companies, they're just wanting the data.
The data is where the power is at. They're not even after the algorithm. under the data side.
@23:13 - Caroline
because they can't get access to it, that's where the problem is.
@23:17 - beth
Like, that's what I do know. I could tell you from the data center side, that's a fact that for sure.
I don't know if they're going to be able to officially ban it without having a huge effort. Personally, I hope there is a huge effort.
I hope people come out of the woodworks. Like, absolutely, because the amount of small businesses that are impacted and how much we learn and how much we connect, absolutely.
But I also know that us being able to connect is the thing that they don't want. So, not a conspiracy.
It's absolutely a thing. The rate of information sharing. it all goes back to about a year and a half ago, the way that even the way that wars are fought right now are very different than whenever I was in the military.
Like, you couldn't call home, even if you had a cell phone, it just wouldn't work that way. Nowadays, you can be on the phone for as long as you want, because it's your phone and you can call from overseas, because of the way you connect to the satellite.
It's very different. So I don't think it's going to go away fast. I do think that if it does get banned, it'll be an uproar, for sure.
just as you mentioned, Michael, with technology, that gap is always filled, but it's a matter of who's going to own that data.
That's how that gap is going to get filled. So I think apps like, or tools like Substack, and nothing's going to compare to the talk, to be clear.
I don't think any tool or algorithm is ever going to compare. I don't think people are going to go to meta.
Maybe YouTube, definitely connecting on blue sky, maybe Substack. Those are the only ones that I've seen in uptick, both in their infrastructure and their investment, as well as their usage.
But no one is wanting to go back to meta, unless they absolutely have to. That's only thing I've seen consistently from a lot of the creators.
@25:04 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. Yeah, your insights, what did you do with the Homeland Security?
@25:08 - beth
I was a behavioral detection officer. I read people's body language for a living. So I went with it. Yeah, I did what's called informal interviewing.
So just like this, just talking to people and getting them comfortable to talk. Yeah, that's actually how I got to become a hiring manager for a tech company.
That's great.
@25:33 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
So you kind of get them to open up and then what?
@25:40 - beth
I just have conversation. That's it.
@25:43 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I read it, especially thin micro expressions.
@25:45 - beth
So I would read your micro expressions in a fifth of a second. And I taught people how to read body language, whether it's your face, your shoulders, you know, you're going, learning how to
and the baseline of where the person is at. So if somebody is already a little bit stressed out and fidgeted, but that's part of their baseline, do they deviate?
Do they increase or do they decrease? And I did that right out of the military for about four and a half, five years, and I specialized in trafficking rings.
So that was why I spent a long time there, longer than what most people usually spend. And then afterwards, I just could not do it anymore.
And I went to go work for a chemical company, like an agriculture chemical company. And that's when I started learning, I'm like, oh, this is nasty.
I don't want to do this. And it was in regulatory of all things. And yeah, after that, I went to tech, I went to Salesforce, work at Microsoft.
It's been a whirlwind, that's for sure.
@26:50 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. Wow.
@26:52 - Caroline
It was such a fun jam, Elizabeth.
@26:54 - beth
love it. But yeah, it's, I went straight from homeschool high school to military to homeland so I didn't have any social media until 2011 Was the first time because I wasn't allowed to have any I wasn't even like I wasn't allowed to have any of that Wasn't to be recognized or nothing.
@27:14 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Wow.
@27:15 - beth
I blended in really well and then moment. I was out Oh, man, it was game over. I dyed my hair every single color that I could like it was a whole thing I saw that on your home page your hair was really cool colors love it That literally was like a few months ago Yeah, this is my natural color.
@27:36 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I'm back to it Nice I I love that your hair and the pictures kind of matches all the colors of the flowers and your That's where I got the color sequence from in Caroline.
@27:48 - beth
I would say you were talking about buying land and you're talking about You had a specific title for it.
I am so sorry.
@27:57 - Caroline
I cannot remember the title for it Oh, no, I didn't say I was just it was like search how to search for and buy for land, but it was going to be yeah legacy something like that.
@28:06 - beth
Yeah, the the other thing. The financial. Oh, um, I'm so sorry. Oh, the passive income, you mean? No, no, the the female.
@28:17 - Caroline
Oh, I have a good money makeover.
@28:19 - beth
Yeah, yeah, that's it. That's it. Okay. So my friend, I was looking on my phone, my friend Teresa, she sends me videos all the time.
It's like our love language. And she was like, no joke. After our first session here, she was like, Hey, have you seen her?
Look, she's talking about this is right up your alley. And I was like, I'm going to have to tell her.
I've got to tell her. Hey, Teresa, guess what? She's she's in my cohort. She's in my group. buying land, absolutely.
I can give you some tips if you want to include some things in there. So I have a whole like video on what to look for, how to assess it, what kind of questions to ask.
But that's kind of where I stopped because every
@29:00 - Caroline
is different and the way you want to buy land and depending on how that deed is set up for the land and the county zoning laws, that's going to make a massive difference.
@29:09 - beth
If you can make any kind of affirming, if you can even grow anything, how you can sell it produce it, there's a lot that goes into it.
But another, the biggest pro tip that I've given a lot of people to include myself because I'm literally in the middle of the process as we speak of securing the land.
There are different farm credit vendors or like lenders if you will. So you don't have to go through the USDA.
You can actually go through these lenders for first-time farmers, especially women farmers. They have a whole separate program for veterans, women's or first-time farmers.
It doesn't matter. You can go through them and they give you a really good rate and you can also adjust like when you make your payment.
So it doesn't have to be monthly. You can make it annually. You can make it seasonally. And then they give you a ton of resources to help you get started.
So for example, I'm in Indiana. So we have like Farm Credit Midwest. There's farm credit east if you're like on the east coast.
There's farm credit west if you're in the Pacific Northwest like It's they're literally everywhere So go look up some of those lender programs because they have them and a lot of times what they do They'll work with people like us to say hey if you have clients or customers who are trying to do this Send them our way and we send them your way to help you with the other things because that's actually how I get a lot of my contacts Or a lot of the USDA contacts that I've made Federal highway safety because I do a lot of garden planning for HOA This which is that's a whole other thing and then first time farmers They always want to know I don't want to do paddle and I don't want to do just one crop What do I do?
What's the biggest money maker and how could I make at least a thousand dollars to keep my commercial USDA?
You know farm number and how do I keep my protaxes depending on how many acreage I have like it's a whole thing So you have to say like connected
@31:00 - Caroline
Of course.
@31:00 - beth
Yes, I'll tell you. need more people that teach this and that show this. So I put it in the chat, do it.
Just do it.
@31:10 - Caroline
Yeah, I know. had so many messages telling me their story of their farm or whatever, they're just like, I said, you've done money now.
And they're like, I to know how to do the money part.
@31:19 - beth
So yeah, the money part is the biggest part. I can teach you how to grow and how to make money off of it.
I can't teach you how to manage your money. that's the part that I don't have. So I would love to send people your way, I have a bunch of business plans of all different types of agriculture systems that you can use, you can start growing depending on how much space is available and what your growth zone is.
So I have lot of those plans. I just can't teach people how to manage money. Like that's going to be too much too many calories for me to be able to try to invest in that.
@31:47 - Caroline
So I'd love to send people your way. Okay, I love it. On that note, Michael, I was also wondering, do you have an affiliate link for your bright creators?
@31:56 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Are you going to have one? So I'll be switching things up with bright creators. So yeah, it's going to be more like a membership thing that people can join.
But yeah, I'll definitely have an affiliate code.
@32:15 - Caroline
Because I'd love to include that too on the path of income. if they want to learn how to do a TikTok business or whatever, you know, just do an online course.
could come to you for that because I don't want to teach that either, so.
@32:27 - beth
Yeah, that sounds great.
@32:29 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, I'll give you an affiliate code for that.
@32:31 - Caroline
OK.
@32:32 - beth
I'd love to help. I'd love to help share this for more people, just because I think it's a lot deeper than just, here's how you create a masterclass.
It's a lot more than that. It's creating that end-to-end and ultimately creating something that actually resonates with your energy.
And that key part right there. Because you can do whatever to make money, but it's not going to be sustainable.
And that's, and it's because it's not going to be aligned to your energy. So you have to do it to where it actually aligns with your soul's energy.
@34:00 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
This is like the formulas, this solution blueprint.
@34:03 - beth
Can I ask you something? Yeah. you use the UX design, right? think you mentioned that.
@34:09 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah.
@34:10 - beth
OK. Can you take a look at my site and give me some advice? It's OK if you can help.
And you don't have to do it right this second. Anything that I can do to make it feel easier for people to be able to find what they're looking for, I tend to be very verbose.
And so like that's been a problem. And then, of course, I try to focus on the colors to make it accessible.
That's also been a problem. So like I've tried. So I would love your feedback and you're not going hurt my feelings at all.
I truly just want to make it good. That's my video. I would love for you to see them sometime then.
I'll send them to you when I'm ready for it. And then any kind of advice, tips, hooks, anything that I can use to get to the point and keep people captured.
@34:58 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Because that's excellent. Yeah.
@36:00 - beth
spout where it gets, you know, all the water and everything kind of pools, that's going to be wetter than something like in the middle of your yard where the sun hits it.
That's going to be dryer. So there's micro climates all over your space and what I do is I teach people how to map that.
And when I do a garden design, I map that for you. And so if I had a way of explaining that to people, that would be great.
So that's what that library is for. And what I've done, when I build these reports for people, they can be anywhere between 75 pages.
I think the largest was over 300. And it's a custom report specific to your site. Like it's everything that's custom to your space from the native plants to what you could grow to the business ventures, the things that you could do, the micro climates.
I even do like lay line mapping. So if you wanted to do any kind of energy work or if you want to do electric culture, like you name it, I map the moon, I map the solar, like I map everything.
And then if you there's like any little moon alignments. So like as the full moon is rising for depending on.
for month it is. I tell you exactly what position it's in so you can maximize it because most people think that gardening ends at the end of the day.
That's just when the moths come out and they are better pollinators than bees. I know if that is posted online I will get so much hate mail from bee lovers but moths are better pollinators.
It's the thing and so I try to show people how to use the moths to build like a little moth garden in their space.
So anyway, that's what Yeah, Elizabeth, I absolutely love your passion. It's great.
@37:34 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, I appreciate that. And just like the amount of knowledge you have, you're very intelligent and it's really cool to see you using all of this to help people build sinful gardens.
@37:43 - beth
Yeah, and food forests. That's good for the latest. Honestly, my goal right now is I'm trying to buy my property.
I'm trying to get my firm set up so we can do a native plant nursery and that way when I design for people that are in my area I can send them to seeds in the native plant cutting so that
probably I design it and I can be like, by the way, here's the point. So like, that's the next evolution, but it's just a matter of getting there.
SCREEN SHARING: Michael started screen sharing - WATCH
@38:09 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. So yeah, well, that's excellent. have to chat with you. about to move into some new land here in Kauai that is, it's got like three acres and a lot of it is just, there's, there's, there's no, it's like wild land and, you know, we want to just plant little fruit tree, like, essentially, it's some, some, like, yeah.
@38:31 - beth
Yeah. And if you had, just real quick, there's a plug in on this, I've actually had a lot of clients in Kauai and one of the things that I've done that I was like, I'll have to share this with you.
I designed it in entire Zen meditation garden and it couples up with the tea garden and it ended up being, like talking to the nature.
Oh my gosh, it is so, like, I designed it. I'm like, yeah, this is cool. Yeah, this is all right.
And I gave it to them and then they just took it to the next level. Like, they were integrating all these natural elements.
And it's like with these rocks and these different stones and this wood. And I'm just like, guys, this is where better than I Don't say I did that.
@39:07 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
So you got, you gave him like a does not like a blueprint. then did they get to someone like a, like a landscaper?
@39:15 - beth
No, they did it. So I gave him a blueprint and I'm like, you need a tree here. There's a list of options.
You need stone here. Here's a list of options. Here's how it will look fine. Like because they have like so many different tastes.
I couldn't pinpoint for them like exactly what to plant where, which is what I usually do.
@39:31 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
But because they had so many different tastes, I didn't want to compete between them. I know better.
@39:37 - beth
And so I gave them options to pick from and then they picked it and man, it landed well.
@39:43 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
the whole point is you can DIY it.
@39:46 - beth
I just show you how to use your space and how to align it because there's no straight lines in nature.
And so I show you how to tune into those curves and it's fun. So yeah, the tea garden turned out great.
@40:00 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
like a place you go to have tea.
@40:01 - beth
Yeah. Yeah. It's a Japanese tea garden that they wanted to plant and they had a meditation garden right off of it.
And it's part of their culture and their daily practices. And so they wanted to incorporate that into their family.
And it's a garden in between two houses. And that's what it ended up going to be.
@40:18 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
It's really pretty.
@40:20 - beth
Well, yeah.
@40:21 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
We will talk.
@40:22 - beth
We will definitely have to talk about that.
@40:25 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
So before we, yeah, go ahead.
@40:28 - Caroline
Okay. I just have one question on my thing from before. then Elizabeth, I also just wanted to say like when I hear you with all of your information, all of your stuff, to me, it feels like such a membership because you have so much to put in there and people can get in and get whatever they wanted from it.
They don't have to get everything. But they get everything. then from there, you can get whatever clients or whatever on top of that.
@40:49 - beth
anyway, I just want to say that.
@40:50 - Caroline
feel like you just have so much knowledge where someone could go in and just be like, like people should be paying to get any of that, I think, like for the most part.
It's so great. So Michael, actually both of you, but Michael specifically, do you think how because you're so good at simplification, would it be better for me to just stick with like set up three streams of passive income in one in seven days or like as far as like my actual offer or would it be better to do like a vault of like five different ways to do it?
Does that make sense?
@41:25 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Say that one more time.
@41:27 - Caroline
Do you think it would be better to do an offer where it's just five, a vault of five different ways that they could set up passive income?
So they have a choice of the five different ones or they could do all five, they could do one, they could do three, whatever.
Or should I take them through like setting up three different passive incomes like in seven days? Does that make sense?
@41:49 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Like you would be through kind of anything but it gets set up. Yeah, I mean, yeah, really either either is great for an offer five or three.
If you did choose three and you just made it a little bit more meatier So it was like a nice offer you could then add like oh get get a bonus to as the upsell Where you would you like two more ways like here?
Here's an upsell. That's only you know for you 40 bucks something You could you could do that. I would probably do that.
@42:20 - Caroline
Yeah, probably do less and then upsell it more Okay, cool.
@42:24 - beth
like that. Yeah, and my problem is doing that less part And up selling.
@42:29 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah That's my problem Yeah, totally and agree about the membership that's a great idea really great Especially if like gardening cuz then people can come with their questions each each week like weekly lab calls Here Yeah, love that yeah So I'm just gonna go quickly over the masterclass because this is the magic This is where people are gonna go from
Oh, that's nice to them pulling out their credit card and purchasing. This is the step that people get wrong, the step that people don't include, and the reason why things don't sell for people.
So all of this is also in the course. I'm just going to go over it for you guys so we can really drill it in and really understand what exactly we're creating and why we're creating it.
So just to give you an overview, the master class is what appears, this is what you pitch on your social media, this is what you share with your people on your newsletter, got this awesome free class about XYZ.
And once they watch this class, at the end of the class, there is the option to purchase your offer.
So how do I get next one? There we go. Okay, so in the class, yeah, so basically there's, that's basically what I just said.
There's also a downloadable. PDF that has all the information kind of in line so you can follow that and make sure you include each and everything very very important And then of course, there's also links to my master classes in the course so you can watch those watch those Study them get inspiration some notes What feels good for you be like oh I could talk about that thing from my past like Michael just talked about or like he's a Virgo I could mention my stars that you know get people that know you and like you So the the map here's the map the The introductions about 25 minutes.
That's just talking about yourself Super super super important. Do not skip the step because people need to trust you Like Elizabeth is talking about and she's interviewing terrorists They gotta they gotta like you first they gotta get to know you and they can open up Or whoever you're gonna I don't know if it's terrorist over here in there every day people too Funny
Yeah. And so then the 50% is your teaching. You're going to give them a ton. So the purpose of teaching people is to get them excited about what you're about to sell them.
It's not to give them it. It's not to show them how to do it. It's not to like guide them through a practice.
Because if you got into the practice, oh, I have it all. It's informative. It's like when you have like infomercials, the infomercial, the entire thing is like hyping it up.
Why it's awesome. How it's awesome. How it can make your life better. So for talking gardening, it's like, how is gardening going to make your life better?
How is doing all this going to make your garden better? How is this going to improve? It's like you're giving them a ton of information so it feels very valuable.
But you're not giving it away. You're not giving like the juice away. And then the last 25% is selling where you'll be pitching the offer.
So the the introduction is, you know, you could just start by selling welcome I'm a master class, or you can say welcome to Gardening 101, or whatever your master class is called.
I am, you share your name, and you say something like I'm very excited to have you here. You bring the energy of like I'm super stoked that you're here because I'm excited, we're excited, and all of a sudden they feel excited.
I'm going to share with you about, and then you share with them what it all is about, so that you give them this overview, this idea of, OK, this is, OK, cool, we're going talk about that.
And then, you can share bullet points, you can create a full little presentation for them. You can have bullet points, so here's where we're be going over in the class.
We're going to be talking about this, we're going to talking about this, and this, like in my past life class, we're going be talking about proof that past lives do, in fact, exist, I'm going share with you how you can actually access your past lives, and also going to share with you a little fun bonus that I have for you guys.
If you do, watch. at the end. So you can include little things like that that make have them desire to watch it until the end.
That's all for this moment. So all this building interest, getting them to like you, and then sharing about yourself.
go, well, who am I? Why am I here telling you about this? me share a little of it myself.
You share your professional side and your fun side. Your professional side builds credibility like what are all the degrees that you have?
What are some of the successes that you have? What are different jobs that you've worked? Things like that that make people think, okay, they're actually like they've done this.
They've they've worked with x amount of people. They've got this degree, etc. This is where you get to brag.
So definitely, you know, take take the humble hat off and put that brag hat on and just make yourself sound awesome.
and include some fun stuff as well. And you can like intermix these two. You can have like professional fun, professional fun, or you can put them separate, whatever feels fun for you.
For the fun side, then you want to make yourself a likable character. I talk about how I come at Triple Virgo, some super organized, and I love organization.
Like, what's your favorite movie? people talk about like, I absolutely love comedy, and I just love this. it's like, oh, I can relate with you.
If you like sports, if you're super interested in knitting, share about that. If you have a family, if you just got married, if you, if your kid just went to college, or whatever might be, little things like that make it feel like, oh cool, they have a family, and they're doing this, and they are likable and interesting.
So all of this is to build trust. Trust is very, very, very important right now. Likeability, then getting to know you and like you.
I'm not sure why the tech's got all funky here. And then you start sharing your story. So you talk about yourself and then you start going into your story.
And this is essentially what you're going to be. The story is going to be leading into the sale. So share how you got into what you're about to teach.
So if you're going to teach about gardening, share about this like transformational moment that all of a sudden you realize that life is better by garden, you know, or whatever happened there.
yeah, transformation is key. So what brought you from A to Z? I found my voice doing past life regression.
I grew my two million followers. don't want to share it with the world. So I always share it for me when I talk about past lives.
I share about how I was very shy, my whole life, super shy. And then I did a past life then opened me up to my own confidence.
And so to share that transformational story with people. I also share it in, like, Brett creators. share about how I broke.
was literally working at a pizza shop. And then I implemented my dream business funnel, built a business to multiple six figures, got a beautiful home in Hawaii.
So I showed, oh, like, what I am about to talk about, what I did, all of this, has transformed my life.
So that adds even more trust, even more credibility. Yeah, what does that say? The text decided to turn into a little sandwich.
Yeah, so basically, you want the transformational moments, as many transformational moments as you can. Get them all together, all the things where how your life has shifted.
People want to know that what you're about to share works. And the very first. step is sharing how it's transformed your life and now we're getting into desire as well as people are like oh wow like you became a six-figure coach oh wow you built you started sharing about past lives and all of that they start to get interested in what you have to offer so then we get into the class so this is gonna be 50% of your presentation so a general rule of thumb is you teach the what and the why and then you sell the how so Caroline maybe this is what was going on like maybe you were you were giving the how in your free class and they were like oh cool take that in front of it so like for example if if I have a past life regression library of 10 hypnosis sessions and my free offer is I give them one of them for free they'll take that one and they'll be like I'll just use this one this is good
So you don't want to give them anything that makes them feel as though That's probably enough because everyone's always trying to like save money and try to like get you know As much with as little and all that so you just want to let them know like what it what all this is share all the facts about it and Why it's so amazing and then when it comes to the cell you sell the how?
To inform it to educate but to actually do it or to learn how to do it They can purchase your course So you want people to get excited about the subject you want them to begin To begin wanting what you have to sell Again, just creating a lot of desire around it like when I talk about past lives I talk about all the like here's why learning about your past lives is awesome Here's all the benefits you can get about learning about your past lives Here's the fact the past lives actually do exist and there's been multiple studies done on them So I'm like making it valid
that I'm letting them know that it's super awesome. And if you get the chance to definitely do a past life regression, learn about your past lives, it will shift your life completely.
Then when I'm like, oh, the way, if you want to do them from home, here's a super discounted way to do it.
All of a sudden they're like, okay, yeah, definitely. I want to do it because I'm super interested as long as I trust you.
And there's an offer that will expire very soon, you know? So I have to get it right there on that page.
Humans need that urgency.
@53:28 - beth
Well, they're also asking themselves, how do I do this?
@53:31 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
How do I get into this? so you're already answering it for them. Yes, they have. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly. They're like, oh, okay, I want to do it.
@53:40 - beth
But now that all sounds great. But how do I do it?
@53:42 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
you're like, here is how to do it.
@53:44 - beth
You got a silver platter and it's all shiny.
@53:48 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
So the things you can include here are facts. are really good. about people's transformation. If there's any studies behind it, studies are great.
People love when you're like. there was a study done where it showed that and there's a certain percent of people who like their mind is more scientific and so when you they hear that there's a study that's that's what they need other people need more emotional stories but there are many different archetypes that you're going to be talking to what the benefits they'll get some of your clients success stories if you work with people why it's important why it transforms people's lives so this is going to be the class so just kind of you can kind of feel the energy of okay like this is remarkably informative while creating a bunch of desire so eventually you're going to transition into the sale and this master class could be anywhere from like 20 minutes to two hours if you want like two hours it'd probably be more if you're selling a higher ticket offer but I wouldn't do any less than like 16 minutes it takes about 15 minutes to build trust to share information and to pitch it
that I share with people is that like you can do past life regressions, but they're $500 per session. And so I wanted to create a way that people do it effortlessly, easily at home, where they can do them over and over.
Because you do one $500 dollar session, that's it. You don't get do it over and over. And then a good transitional phrase is, so I created the past life hypnosis library.
So I created this awesome solution that is on this view, the full silver platter. And this begins the sales portion.
So that's a nice transition that makes it feel important, that makes it feel valuable, and that also increases desire.
So as you're sharing your offer, so I have this course, it is called this. This, you can introduce your course, you can share just a little bit about what exactly it is.
This is to help people go from A to B. You really want to share that they're gonna get some sort of transformation.
You're gonna learn about your past lives. You're gonna be building a garment. You're gonna be. if learning how to be a wealthy woman or a woman who has passive income that just flows to you and you can guide people into how awesome that would feel.
You're going to learn how to this, this, and this. You're going to get this, this, and this. There's videos, there's classes, there's lessons, there's PDFs, whatever you might be offering.
Share how they're going to benefit from it, how they're going to feel, the emotions that are going to come up.
At this point, you can also mention that there's been some lives that have been changed through other people who have done it.
If you already have testimonials, it's a great place to put these and then preemptively address any objections they might have.
So people are always like, is it scary and bad to do a past life regression from home? So before they get that in their mind, I go, and before we hit record and all these past life regressions, we set a ton of intentions that we just infused into them for them to be healing.
loving, beautiful experiences, your soul never gives you more than you can handle and everything you see is what you're meant to see.
And so like, okay, nice. Yeah, so it's a beautiful, safe experience. So just any objections they might have in their mind, you just toss them out there so that they're at ease.
So you can get into how you created your course, what needs were met when you created it. And you can also at this point, if you want, you can share screenshots of the course like, here's this in it.
Not necessary to share screenshots of it, but sometimes it's kind of fun, just it makes people feel like, ooh, look at all those goodies I get in there.
It's like looking at the candy, they get to see it behind the counter, but they can't get it until you hand it to them.
So this right here is like, this is remarkably valuable. This is what gets them to say, yes, create urgency.
So we've got all that Xire build up and now you have to create urgency because everyone is going to just put it off for later.
You get a small percent who are like stoked and they know that it's going to be good for them but the rest of the people they know it's good for them but it's so easy for them to just be like yeah maybe tomorrow and then tomorrow comes and they forgot about it and they're watching Netflix and you know we've lost a sale.
So urgency is an incredibly powerful way to create interest in purchasing right now so share how much the course costs retail on your website and you definitely want to make sure that it actually costs that if they buy it on your website.
So for example my past life regression library is $200 if they get it right then and there it is $47 because you watch this class because you're on this page and only on this page it is $47 if you leave this page deals gone and
So that'll create that urgency you can you can describe that you get All the stuff in it like if they get the bonuses, you can say this bonus is $50 bonus $100 bonus You also get this $150 bonus all those are in there as well.
So you get a bunch of fun stuff I really want to make this super desirable for you to get so that you know how much it's going to change your life You can let them know again like once you register You're going to get an email you can start to like give them the future projection of what is going to be their future Once you register you're going to get an email that email will give you access to your your online portal Where you can start your garden where you can start Developing the passive income you'll get the step-by-step guide.
It's all going to be in that And you're going to get lifetime access to it Uh Again, this deal is only available on this page And then you want to give them a very strong call to action of tap
the button below to register, and then the way I guide you guys through the whole process of building the page and everything, and I give you a template, you can just upload template pages already built for you, it's going to have a little button under the video, so they can literally, like you can go like this, you can point down and get top the button below to get this deal, last chance right here, and there'll be a button right there, they tap that and they can purchase it.
So you can, after you give them the call to action, you can give them that call to action, and a lot of people, cool, they tap it, they don't tap it, but you can continue speaking, you can share some more testimonials, you know, and you know, here's, here's some more just stuff that I want to let you guys know about some people who just complete transform their life with this.
Share your own excitement, I'm super excited if you guys get in here, I'm very excited of you. starts this experience.
I know this is going to change your life. It changed my life and I'm very excited for you. And then again, you go back and end it by telling them that if they want to get it for the discounted price, you can get it on this page right here.
Discounted wise, 75% off is always good. If it's $200, $47 is good. it's a $500 course, $97 could be good.
Something like that where it feels like pretty significant. And then you also feel like if you got that money, you would feel good, good energy exchange.
And then on this screen, you can also put, once you've finished your, you finished it, you now leave, you can drop some text on the screen with an arrow that says this one time offer only available below with an arrow pointing down.
And you just leave them on that. And then you can have that video go for like 30 seconds so that all they see on the screen is an arrow.
pointing down, a very clear call to action that goes down. Awesome. So that is that is the master class.

That is awesome.
@1:03:18 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Thank you. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, very welcome.
@1:03:22 - beth
I'm going to definitely be expecting that a lot more.
@1:03:26 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, watch my master classes. They're all in there. You've got the outline. So everything I just put there is like in a very easy to fall outline.
@1:03:34 - beth
Yeah, the biggest thing I've realized, going through the master class, I don't want to teach people design, you know what I mean?
Like I don't want them to be held to like, you're going to become an awesome designer at this. Like that's not the goal.
That's not the goal at all. Like it's I had to really get clear as to that vision, is that end goal?
What is the intent? are they going to get from it? that took me a minute. But that is the question that I never really asked myself.
Until this course like the way you phrase it and the way you set it up. That's what pulled it out So like just so you know that when I say like, you know, the the product of your soul like aligning to your energy that right there Absolutely keyed it in just the way you have a set up is perfect um and I think the Customer journey mapping the customer journey of how I want people to navigate through it and how I want that experience to feel Obviously tied into the infrastructure thing, which is why I started with like the upside and I'm kind of working it way backwards It just worked from my friend.
I made a sheet could just be me but that right there also helped and Having that understanding of like keeping it simple and here's how you do it like it just spoke volumes And I think tying those two together infrastructure over the customer journey and as well as like what you're offering It's like a triangle and it made me think of your logo So like just say it just it fit perfect Nice.
@1:04:57 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I appreciate you letting me know. Yeah, I really appreciate that
@1:05:00 - beth
back and just hearing that it's cool to hear it from an outside perspective.
@1:05:03 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, I appreciate it. also appreciate this. mentioned your father-in-law who passed away in the journey of souls.
@1:05:09 - beth
Yeah, it's hard to describe because my husband wasn't, he's a big reader, but he's never read anything like that before.
And I was explaining how the book is set up and like way before, right? is that a just gone to hospice?
And, you know, we're not religious people. we're when I was really young and my grandma passed and I was like, this is the thing.
And he doesn't dream at all. Well, before Stephen passed, I just knew. And then when I was there the moment he was passing and I'm like, yeah, I'm like, you could feel it.
Even the hospital surgeon was like, whoa. And then like, it's that night. I know Stephen visited and I know he visited my husband and I'm like, that was like this case.
@1:05:52 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
And I'm like, opening up the book.
@1:05:54 - beth
like, wait, that's my best, like, and he has a book. like, it actually has helped his God.
@1:06:00 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
brought a lot more peace. I'm really happy to hear that. And it really awesome too to hear about like the feeling someone who has passed and just the recognition like death is just a goal.
You know like that was the other side that would make sure we're okay.
@1:06:13 - beth
Like they just want to make sure that we are okay. Yeah. It was interesting. I'll share this and I'll check about it.
Stephen was a, he might have been the first trans man for a lot of institutions here in Indiana. He definitely won't be the last.
And because of his presence and the advocacy, we were able to help set up a really good network. There were, you would never believe you because he would be like, he's very much a loner.
He wanted to be just completely alone. He was like sassy. Like no one wanted to, wanted to be around.
But there were so many people that he had affected that as he was passing the came to pay his respects, he would never believe it like ever.
And I know, I know he was standing right there and I wanted to be like, ha!
