AI Generated Summary
The Bright Creators meeting on January 23rd was filled with rich exchanges of ideas, personal growth reflections, and practical discussions about digital platforms and content creation. Michael Armstrong opened by sharing transformative experiences from his recent Ayahuasca journey in Hawaii. He described it as a profound release of suppressed energies, which led to a renewed sense of clarity and creativity. This story set a reflective tone for the meeting, emphasizing the importance of emotional well-being and the role of intentional practices in sustaining creative energy. Caroline and other participants expressed admiration and curiosity, underscoring the value of sharing personal breakthroughs within the community.
The group also delved into the technicalities of digital content and platform management. Michael discussed his experience with TikTok's temporary ban and how it inspired the creation of a free online community, which will soon host live events like a past-life regression session. Beth shared fascinating insights into TikTok’s data migration and algorithm shifts, providing a deeper understanding of the platform’s evolving dynamics. This prompted a broader conversation about strategies for adapting to platform changes, maintaining creative autonomy, and leveraging tools like Circle and Kajabi to foster authentic connections.
Participants also explored the creative and technical aspects of developing effective digital funnels and online courses. Discussions touched on striking a balance between authenticity and polish, with Michael emphasizing the importance of launching imperfect projects to build momentum. Caroline expressed a preference for creative tools like Flowdesk, which align with her intuitive and design-focused approach to email marketing, sparking a lively exchange on the balance between functionality and user experience.
On a more philosophical note, the meeting touched on themes of interconnectivity and purpose. Beth shared how observing nature sparked inspiration for her masterclass, drawing parallels between the resilience of moss and the interconnectedness of ecosystems. This resonated deeply with the group, reinforcing the idea that alignment with one’s purpose and energy is crucial for creators. Michael concluded by encouraging participants to cultivate energy-clearing practices, from breathwork to mindful decision-making, to ensure their creative efforts remain in harmony with their higher selves and long-term goals.
The session ended on an uplifting note, with participants celebrating their progress and sharing encouragement to complete their funnels and launch their offerings. The atmosphere was collaborative, inspiring, and filled with a shared commitment to growth and creativity.

Bright Creators 2 - January 23
@0:01 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Well, come John, welcome John.
@0:13 - Zoom user
Hello, how are you?
@0:15 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I'm good, how are you doing?
@0:17 - Zoom user
Oh, yeah, not too bad. Just woke up a bit, just a few seconds ago.
@0:22 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
No way.
@0:23 - Zoom user
Yeah.
@0:24 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
You're already asleep.
@0:25 - Zoom user
Yeah, it's been a busy day.
@0:29 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I've been moving. Oh, yeah, you have. How's that going?
@0:34 - Zoom user
Oh, halfway there. So I've got the movers coming in tomorrow. So it all looks good. And how about yourself?
How was your trip to Hawaii?
@0:46 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
It was good. It was good. Welcome back. I have you here? Yeah, it went to Oahu for the Ayahuasca journey.
And that was so good. It was really, really good. Um, it's sometimes we accumulate a lot of different energies with all these things that happen around us And then that accumulation turns into like scrolling a little bit too much or whatever it might be and I didn't realize how much I had been holding on to like whether it stresses or just suppressed emotions a little you read like a news article and Just before lunch and then you don't have any emotional process to let go of the energy that you just took in so it just sits there And so I went into it a little bit of resistance, you know, like I you know I want to be I'm gonna be working right now.
We're like about to move and I want to you know, just focus on building and growing Um, I'm like do we really need to go over a while who right now do this and and Elton caroline And we ended up Going I took the medicine I sat back down and I started to feel really uncomfortable And I don't know you have any of you experienced it
ayahuasca. Nice. So it's a purgatory. So you have purgatory kind of interesting word. It's a purgative. You purge with it, meaning you throw up or the other way out, essentially clearing the system, clearing the microbiome.
what happens is if there's any like negative emotions within the body that the uncomfortability of the emotions is amplified and it feels so uncomfortable that it comes out.
And then once it's released, the energetics of it are also released. And that happened for me about an hour and a half into the ceremony.
And after that, I felt like I was floating. I felt like, ah, my mind is so clear. I'm like stoked on life and excited and just like really content.
And then we did night. two and same deal like I still felt very light going into it from the previous night, but then all for anything else I was able to let go of.
And came back here and just I feel like, yeah, like a new meme. So it was it was a phenomenal trip.
And there's an illegal substance. it is it's illegal, technically illegal, but there's a lot of churches that do it.
And because of religious freedom in the US, you can form a church and you can have that be a part of your church.
And they don't they don't do anything about that. It's it's totally cool. So religious freedom, let's go.
@3:52 - Caroline
Thanks for sharing, Michael. I always love hearing people's stories. It's like my favorite medicine. So it's so good.
@4:02 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, it was phenomenal. It was just truly phenomenal and after I felt super clear from everything I went through outside and the moon was just rising, you know, it was really big red on the horizon and I was just, I probably sat there for like 15 minutes just watching the moon and it was remarkably peaceful, very, very healing.
@4:25 - Caroline
That's amazing.
@4:28 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Also, in this last week, we went through the whole TikTok fiasco, which is very interesting. So, TikTok, you know, banned.
I don't know if guys, it went on and saw it. little message that said that it was banned with really interesting wording as well, you know, but like maybe, you know, we're talking to Trump.
I'm like, they just, they mentioned Trump's name. There's something going on here. And then I was pretty pissed, you know, my
Definitely my like, you know, fight for justice side came out and I was posting her where I shared my online community ended up getting about 350 people to join I started free community online and which John I saw you in there, which is super cool.
And, yeah, yeah, really cool to see people people happen in there just having place they can feel free to share.
So it was really nice to take like something that wasn't good and turn it into something that was good.
So I've got that that free community which I'm not going to create eventually create filters within it to help if they want to go deeper they can get the paid community.
And, which we do have a past life regression live event in the paid membership so I'll send you guys all a link if you want to go to that you can go for free since you're in bright creators.
I'll send it out to everyone who's who's in bright creators, which is it's going to be a live past life regression event which is.
Well, the hypnotherapist, either, yeah, either they'll do it, I'll do it, we're still figuring out that, but about 40 minute long experience where you're just guided into a deep state to see visualizations of your previous lifetimes and then gently guiding you out of the experience.
So that'll be this Sunday and that'll be lot of fun. So yeah, TikTok, it got banned about 24 hours later, came back, of course, the message that came back also was like, Trump, yeah, which was hilarious.
Either they were doing that to kind of lock him in so that if it gets banned again, it's on him or he talked to them and said, yeah, do that so that I look good, so I'm like the one who helps it.
Either way, it came back, which I was very happy about. It is not in the app store anymore, so if you want to go and download it, you can't, unless you live in the UK, then you can freely download it and delete it.
download again. But if you are in the US, you can no longer get it, which is interesting. If you get a new phone, it won't transfer over.
It won't let you open it or download it. Yeah, which is kind of kind of unique and interesting. So we're all in a private club here.
And if you have TikTok, you're in the 150 million person club, or however many people are in it right now, I think it's 150 million US.
@7:26 - Zoom user
And this is, I've heard that some people think that it's working in a different way.
@7:31 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
No. Yeah, there's always some conspiracy theories about potentially the algorithm shifted and, you know, who knows, I personally haven't really seen too much of a shift.
I mean, I feel like the algorithm is always changing and always, you know, doing its thing. But people have talked about that.
@7:48 - Beth
I can tell you what, what I do know, like I have the data background, like the actual screenshots in the background to prove it, you know how like there's a website called snap tick, right?
post a little, you're on there, it won't work. Now, and the reason why is because they did do a server migration, but it's still owned by TikTok.
It's still in, um, it, uh, out of me? No. Akamai. That's it. Akamai servers, which is based in Massachusetts.
And so Facebook uses Akamai. uses Akamai. It's a whole server security system. And so, um, they did do migration to different servers.
And the reason why was because of the sort of server protocols had changed. So I did a quick video on this and then I got some really scary messages that that was enough for me to like hide that, but because I, they confirmed it.
So there was two cyber security people that work at TikTok that ping me. We went into a chat, they confirmed it and they're like, you're going to want to take this down.
I'm like, okay, good enough. Yep. Cool. like here are the screenshots that I have. Here's how I have to prove it.
I just make the video very generalized just to be safe. You're like, yeah, you're not going to want that up.
And they definitely worked for TikTok, and they definitely worked for the cybersecurity team. And what happened was, if you think about it, the algorithm did shift, but not in the way that you think.
And what happened was, if you imagine every single social media app, as having all this data on your videos, think about creators' search insights, right?
Because you liked, because you shared topics, similar creators. Well, you are also categorized, and so think of the algorithm as like a train.
As that train goes through your data, it's picking up all of the data points. And as it's picking up all of these data points, it's collecting all that information on you.
Previously, TikTok servers, because of the protocols they had, you could not see this TikTok data on any of the other trains.
Now, the trains you can. Like all the Facebook trains, Instagram trains, YouTube, Patreon, you name it. They can now all see the TikTok data, which is how the algorithm is shifting, is because those other people are using those other platforms.
people that they follow, people that they subscribe. videos that they like, that they hesitate on. So it is influencing it.
But if you don't use those other apps as prolifically, it's not going to affect your algorithm nearly as much as you might think.
So the train, the TikTok train just got a giant magnifying glass put on it. So that's how it's being seen.
Now you might be wondering, well, how all the trains work. There's two different data models. If you think about data science, the first data model, it actually is called meta learning, meta learning model.
That's actually why it's named his company meta, because he was the one who implemented meta learning across all of these platforms.
That's where that came from. And meta learning model came a little bit before him, but that's why he reading this company.
The second one is called setterit modeling. And that's where they take multiple different algorithms, different desperate systems, and connect them all together for things like patterns.
So it looks for patterns. It's just a pattern. So if you start following somebody you subscribe to them on YouTube, and you go over to Patreon, they're going to be recommended as somebody you should.
to probably subscribe to, same thing. So that's how it works. So if you really want to test this, go look up the most obscure topic.
I recommend Stick Talk. It's a safe one. It's people showing off cool sticks they found in nature.
@11:13 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Love that.
@11:13 - Zoom user
Go look up Stick Talk.
@11:15 - Beth
Look at it on YouTube. Look at it on Instagram. Don't look at it on TikTok. It'll start showing up.
even you can even reverse. It's the whole thing. Yeah, that's absolutely what happened. And I got it confirmed privately.
And I'm like, get to know. So yeah.
@11:36 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, so now they've got a lot more data.
@11:39 - Zoom user
Well, they get to it.
@11:41 - Beth
The data didn't move per se. It's still within the TikTok servers. they don't have to sell. don't have to do any of that.
There's no FTC. There's none of that that is going to get triggered. The data never moved. It's still there.
It's just a different protocol that's now open because they're in a different server farm. It's still on the neck of mine like you can literally load up the back end and still see it to this day So if you go to snap tick When you try running it tick type servers can't be found.
It's because they've changed it That's why they had to go down any time you do a make data migration especially of a database You have to take it down.
There is no other way to do it every single system is out of that way because we're Yeah, but if you ever are curious you can always do proton proton vpm.
It's better than Nord It's based actually in Switzerland. So if you're like accidentally go to the app or I got to do the vice Proton is cheaper, but it's also really good for streaming It's really good for me videos if you're going live if you're on social media You can do a lot of different devices on it.
I've used that since homeland so Proton that's for that's like the VPN is the VPN. Yeah, that's what I recommend if you're looking for a VPN.
That's a good one Nice cool awesome.
@12:57 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, thank you for that.
@12:59 - Beth
that's It's interesting. It is interesting.
@13:03 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. And so now we're in this 90 day period where it's officially banned, but it's allowed to be used because the CEO of TikTok has talked to the president and said that he's not going to go after them, but they still have 90 days to supposedly have to sell.
You know, we'll see what happens. I liked the wording that Donald Trump used, just in talking about how we're not going to just take it down because of all the millions of Americans that are using it for their business.
I like that he actually recognized that there are people who are using it for their business and just to take it down like Congress wanted to do, it's just not a good move.
And TikTok was very smart and the data migration, taking it down and seeing the results that happened in 24 hours because they know, you know, that was really good.
Barding ship they use to show everyone in the US that this is very important and We'll get pretty upset if it just Gets banned at end removed But yeah, we'll see what happens in 90 days You know, I the algorithms these days are like living beings they're super connected to us they know us really well and If there's a shift in the algorithm people notice it and a lot of the the issues that people have with tech talk The reason why they want to band is because if China has access to shifting the algorithm they could shift the perception of what the United States citizens think of anything with us politics or China and There's this like theory floating around that they could change the algorithm so that We all of a sudden, you know We'll vote a certain way or like China or ignore their human rights and not see it and I get that but also If they started to shift the algorithm too much to like make us all vote
a certain way. I believe that we would recognize it. so to me to use our fickle beings, and we will easily go to a new one that appears that doesn't feel like it's been tampered with.
And so, yeah, I don't think the argument's valid, but I was having a conversation with my brother who's like very like, you know, like it's a dangerous, a Trojan horse, it's dangerous.
And I get that, but I also don't think we should just ban apps just because of something potentially that could happen in the future.
@15:30 - Beth
So, I can tell you that algorithm manipulation that you're talking about, that's been happening across every single platform. It's a common thing.
That's an actual common tactic. That's why these data learning models and knowing what they are and how they work and how they don't work, what they don't align with.
It's so important. The best way to beat any of these algorithms don't have a pattern. Literally go look up weird .
That's all you got to do. there's dragon puppets and they have like these really cool. like eyes and it's all like on your hand.
It's a whole thing. It's next level. I don't give a about Dragon Public's problem telling you right now. I will like all the videos that I see of it.
That sticks out. Go find weird obscure things and it just breaks the pattern that it has on you and your feed on all of the platforms will be filtered based on that.
So you'll still get some of the same stuff. You'll get a lot of the same stuff, but there'll be that break.
It'll be like, oh, why am I getting that all of sudden? It's testing. It's seeing if you're going to go to that next node.
They find some pretty awesome sticks too. Yeah, they do.
@16:41 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I'm going to say talk. like, wow, that's an impressive stick.
@16:44 - Beth
Some of them look like Wizardlike.
@16:46 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
know what I mean?
@16:47 - Beth
They're really cool.
@16:48 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, that's great. Any more of those stick videos it might be. So one of the things that I took from my
Experiences last weekend was being more of service and also having whatever I'm doing be of service to my service This thing that came was how can how is how is this being of service affecting my service?
So if anything is if people are asking you of stuff if you're about to do something about the watch something Asking how is this being of service to my service?
So we all of us we all have our own service. We're putting out there putting out to the world giving to people You really tuning in and there's a lot of stuff we can do that really isn't pushing that our purpose forward So really tuning into that.
I'm gonna drop some questions in the chat that really it helps that really helped me So when anything shows up in life just asking does this help me show up more fully?
Will it make me stronger more aligned more inspired? does this contribute to my mission? Does it align with the impact that I want to make on others?
Does it support my energy? Like, I want to watch that movie. It's a horror movie where there's like a part that feels, oh, being kind of interesting and excited to see it, but is that actually going to support my own energy?
As creators, we have almost this responsibility to take care of our energy, to take care of ourselves, because we're putting ourselves out there and people are going to feel our energy, and if we're, if we have really good energy, it's going to magnetize people to us, so it's also good for business.
Will the action, choice, or thought energize me or draining? Also good to note when talking with other people or hang out with other people, the ability to know for things, to say, you know, if you tune in to someone like, hey, let's go do something, tune in to like you hang out with them, it just feels like it's going to be a draining experience, honoring yourself and just saying no to it.
Is it aligned? with my higher self. So this is really tuning into your own soul. With the version of me, I am becoming make this choice, which I thought this is a really fun one in that we get to tune into that future projection.
We've done some meditations like looking at who we want to become. And if you start to feel into that person, you can start making choices based on that person.
So if you want to be a millionaire, you can start to feel in the energy of what it feels like to be a conscious millionaire who's helping people in life, being of service and making money doing it and tuning into what would that person do?
How would that person act? How would they wake up? What would they watch? How would they educate themselves? they read?
How much would they read? So really tuning into your future self and bringing it into this present moment. I thought that was really, really cool.
So that was just something I wanted to share with you guys. That's just to remind you that you are creators.
You are all creators. As we start as we step into the social media aspect of this, we will really be focusing on our energy, our routines, making sure that what we're doing is always in alignment with our purpose.
When I got back from this ayahuasca experience and I felt like it's like a squeegee just like clean my energy body, my emotional body, and so I felt like much more sparkly.
And I was, I was scrolling through X, which X is a little bit less regulated or a little less, you can put more on it.
And so there's like random videos that are like violent, and I noticed myself when I saw this video, it was like two people fighting immediately.
It was just like a hard no in my body. And so I just, I skipped right by it. And recognizing when thing, like if you maybe you're watching like gossip or something and it's like, oh, there's a part of you.
It's oh, it's interesting, or like the human part of you that's like, oh, violence. There's a part of me that like is intrigued by it and like will twist my head to look at it.
a car accident, but really tuning into what is creating good energy. A lot of people watch the news because they become addicted to watching the news.
And the news is, you know, paying is essentially getting you to watch advertisements and then telling you the worst of the worst of worst.
So is that actually in alignment with your soul's energy or maybe meditating or, you know, taking a bath is more in alignment than watching the news?
So really tuning into that, I've noticed just having this more clear energy that there are some things that I just can't, you know, our hard nose for me.
And I found myself scrolling so much less. And so my suggestion for you guys is to develop some practices that help clear energy.
So one of the practices that I did yesterday, which we can actually do on this on this right now, which is 10 series of deep breathing.
So it's just, it's just 10 deep breaths and the breathing technique. but I was in the U.S. I had to wake up at 4 a.m.
day to just to do that like hour and a half call and then I went back to bed after that.
So I feel it. I feel it. All right. So let's get started. Right. So just kind of shaking a little bit.
Just allow the body to know that you're here and let's start the breathing. So now nice and deep and hold at the top and let it go and now just close your eyes and sit in that stillness.
Now when you're ready, slowly opening your eyes. Just feeling. Beautiful practice to do. How did that feel for you guys?
Did you feel some sensations? Was it you feel like that was good for your energy? Every body is different.
So really finding what works for you. And as we do step into the social media aspect of bright creators,
There's gonna be a lot of energies. know, you guys are already probably putting things out there, but getting comments, getting all these things, opening up social media platforms, watching some videos.
So I want you guys to tune into what works for you, whether it's taking a bath, whether it's going on a jog, starting an exercise practice, doing breath work.
I also do something called yoga medras, which they have on YouTube. I'm storing so much tension in my hips.
That's what I noticed. Yeah, I'm storing a lot of tension in hips too. I've realized that I'm sitting a lot.
You don't have a standing desk. I'll sit and I just stand to use the standing aspect of this. And this morning, my wife and I were in bed and she does beer baby readings where she tunes into the souls of babies who are yet come.
because she's now pregnant, she was like, I'm gonna tune in. And sometimes she's gonna sandwich him. She's like, there's a message coming in.
From from the soul of our baby and she's like messages for you. I was like, oh cool. What's the message and?
She said the message is after you do each one like if you if you work for a while and you're gonna take a break do some lunges And do some squats really focus on on grounding into your body and like opening your hips I was like, Okay, Awesome.
Thank you. I appreciate that The soul of our unborn child Yeah, so cool. Really? Yeah, it's it's super sweet to to tune into souls and and you know ask you have a connection with the soul Do I yeah, what have you had other lives together?
Yeah, I feel so I have a deep connection with the soul When I was on ayahuasca a few months ago, maybe like Seven or eight months ago the soul came to me
and said hello, presented a potential name. And I then told my wife that and she got full body chills.
We've been tuning into the soul and it feels like we've had many lifetimes together. We're tuning into the energy, the personality of the soul.
And they seem super, super awesome. Like we've known each other for many lifetimes. so yeah, it's pretty exciting. I'm pretty excited about meeting this soul again.
@27:33 - Zoom user
Well, you know, stop meeting. You're going to meet them in this talk mode.
@27:42 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, exactly. Yeah. And then the next, the next, the next, next. Maybe the next, there'll be our parents and we'll be the kids.
@27:52 - Beth
Now, I can tell you my daughter, I know. I had her before. And then when I found out I was having
like, girl, I'm like, that's her. just know it. I just know it. And so I swear to you to this very day, there was this dream that I had where it was like this, like it was like a community center, if that makes sense, like it was outside.
And you're like in this big courtyard. And she was just right there. And her face like kind of shifted some of the characteristics and features.
And she was like, we have met over many lifetimes. And I'm coming back to you now, you don't realize it yet.
But you need to calm down. Because I was like, working a super stressful job. was working only in security.
At the time, she's like, you got to relax. Otherwise, it's not going to happen. I'm like, oh, and so I left, got us a million job a few months later.
And I'm like, oh, and I was told I couldn't have kids just to be clear. I have brain sore.
It's not cancer or anything, but like, it's like there. And it's prevented from being able to have kids. And so having her, I'm like, this is real, this is happening.
Now, with Xander, my youngest, he remembered his past life. that's actually when you came up on my feed. And he was telling me,
me all about it. And I'm like recording him. like, tell me more. What about this trailer? like, I'm trying to get it all recorded.
And I can tell you, I don't know. I feel like he followed my husband. If that makes sense, like, he's a new soul.
it's like, I don't know how to describe it. So maybe this, maybe this makes sense. I know my daughter and I have had many, many, many lifetimes.
And I know my husband and I have met before. And I feel like him and my husband are, I mean, they're like this, like, that is absolutely a thing.
But I feel like we're soul family cousins, if that makes sense. That sounds really weird to say, but that's what it feels like.
It's like, Oh, you need to learn this. Cool. I need to learn this. We're gonna do it in this lifetime.
That's what it felt like.
@29:48 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
It's beautiful.
@29:50 - Beth
I love that. Yeah.
@29:54 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
two people are in a soul, know, can actually gather these two people, and then you come together, and it's like these two people might not have or...
Sometimes in soul groups, you have one person who's not as spiritually advanced, but they bring them in so that they can Get the vibe of the full soul group.
@30:08 - Beth
Yep.
@30:09 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, it's it's very exciting when you think about just bringing new life into this planet And like inviting a soul to come to come into our reality So yeah, very excited about that and um, so yeah, it's like it's all all these different practices.
@30:27 - Zoom user
So um um Think of what those practices are for you guys in terms of what is going to help you let go of tension Especially john as you're going through this move You know making sure that you you stay in good energy because I know moves can be a little bit stressful Well, I've got an interesting one like the other day I was coming back from London and The train was delayed For some reason I think the police had to come on To the train and I could have got really angry
but actually within that hour of being delayed I came up with 10 different new videos and way forward to do social media so I actually think it was perfect timing so yeah I'm a great believer that you create your own reality and you've got to listen to your higher self or intuition or whatever because in effect you're giving yourself the way forward so why would you ignore it you can say no I'm not preferring to do it at the time but you have to at least acknowledge you yep the secret this year is just uncanny like I don't know if y'all really so I had two days ago I was super frustrated there's a lot of stuff going on I'm in the process of wanting to there's a there's a lot of stuff going on that I've
@32:00 - Beth
Absolutely shift my energy and I can't like push it away or put it down like I have to face it Which is exhausting and so it's just it's really hard to keep the vibrations.
Hi, and so to your point John You know, you have to you have to identify it. Well the other day I kept thinking about My free offer what am I gonna do for this like I recorded the video and like it just doesn't it's not hitting It doesn't feel like that's it and two days ago people like this was only two days ago I started the day got the kids off the school I come back I got my little coffee and I was just sitting there looking outside and I have like I have a pretty decent camera so I do a lot of nature shots and a lot of nature videos and I show the connectivity between nature and I was Taking a picture of this Indiana fern loss and this moss grows in 60 to 80 degree temperatures covers the forest floor It's five degrees here.
This moss is bright green There's no reason why this moss should be growing right now, but it is and it's growing on rock above everything else that
Brock is a little bit warm. It's just about freezing, which is allowing it to to grow anyway. So I was thinking about that and I was like, man, just to see the connectivity between all these different parts and systems in nature.
I cut up a piece of that moss. I left like two thirds of it and I cut up a third of it and I ripped it up and I left it out because I know the salamanders and the birds use it to reinforce their nests when the temperatures are really cold.
And within minutes these birds came by to get in left, okay? So I'm sitting there and I was like, how do I show people this?
This is what gives me energy. This is what lights me up. But I know this interconnectivity and I want to teach people how to find that.
And then I was like, that's it. That's what I got to do. And so I sat back and I thought about it and I'm like, how else can I show this besides what I teach?
I'm already connected to a bunch of farmers, urban farmers, growers, gardeners, public parks. I'm already connected to them. And I can show them how what they are already doing is already connected into the web.
and how they are affecting their ecosystem. just use them as the example while also giving everybody a little bit of hope and inspiration across the country right now that maybe 10 miles down the road, there's this farm and they're doing this really cool thing.
You can do the same thing in your backyard or even in your side yard. And here's how you can make that impact.
And immediately I got like this whole body book, yes, like vibe, but I'm like, that's it. Like I'm getting the goosebumps talking about it.
So I know this is what I meant to, I know this is where I'm supposed to go. And I don't think I would have ever gotten to that point if I had not already watched the master classes and watched the videos and already been having these conversations.
So I sat down, I recorded the master class in one take, no editing needed. I'm gonna go back and I'm gonna edit it just to be clear.
Cause I wanna make it look really good. But I did it all in one take. I've got a micro course already created like two days ago.
And it's just been like flowing. And I'm like, it's all because of that damn loss. If you follow a blue sky, that's where I post a lot of my little pictures and videos going forward because I'm trying not to Do as much on TikTok because it is it's like an echo chamber, and so I don't want I Don't want that now that I know how everything is like all their algorithms.
don't want that I want to be able to have a little bit more control of it And so I'm looking forward to blue sky and skylights and I have Community set up I have that subscription set up and I already got a few hundred people to describe Because they want to learn more about how to see this and how to spot this Because when you go into nature when I show you how to do your nature walk You have to use your senses.
You have to you can't now except for taste you don't have to use that one Don't eat the dirt.
@35:41 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Everything else you have to do Congratulations on on getting those filmed and getting all and have the idea come to you.
@35:50 - Beth
That's incredible Yeah, and it's I feel like I'm gonna do good farming news where I Share little spotlights about all these different growers and garden
@37:00 - Zoom user
your hinterbasket in new microphones. So that's coming in the next few days. so I do plan to we do a few of the shots and then we edit it.
But I just wanted the overarching thing. Did you like it? Do you think it was long enough? And so it was lovely that we sort of said, yeah, on the whole it's great.
But there's a few parts that you just need to move around and then and that's what I needed. so I thank you for your time and energy.
@37:32 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, I was stoked. I was stoked that you got that up there. Super stoked. And you know, it's like even without any of the edits, like you could still launch it.
You could still put it out there. It's like nothing has to be perfect because perfection doesn't exist. And you're going to be attracting a certain person, a certain kind of person who digs your energy.
So they're going to get to your funnel from your videos. So they're only going to say yes to watching your mask class because they already like you and so that's why like yeah I can go and be like well this that you know all these little things to make it like a feature film that you could put in the theater but it's just not necessary and and I've gotten lost in the perfectionism and not launch things I think it's better to launch things and realize oh you can actually make money from things that aren't necessarily all perfect because when people are watching it they don't expect perfect they just they like good information they like to hear what you have to say because they're there for you and if the information the knowledge is good then they'll stick around and they'll forgive all the little things because that's just kind of how it is you know so yeah I am excited for you to launch that and there's a lot of great information in it I'd probably say don't make it any longer yeah I think it's the one
@39:00 - Zoom user
Really?
@39:01 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
What's that?
@39:02 - Zoom user
I think it could be about five to ten minutes shorter by reducing the number of examples, but I actually quite like the number of examples because it reinforces that I'm not talking a load of cuckoo.
@39:20 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, exactly. and for someone to to come into it and they're coming because I love you. so like, yeah, you know, the more the merrier, like you could, you can create one that's potentially longer, and that could also do well.
It's kind of interesting as like the teacher to look at your work and put myself into your customers because it's not about me.
It's not about what I like or what I'm interested in. It's about the people who resonate with you that follow you that watch your video that say yes to signing up.
Like that is who it's all about. So, yeah, it's not about my opinions for lot of things unless there's something I can see that's like, oh, you know, the audio shifted.
If you want to update that in the future, you can. The only other thing was the eye contact. And that's an interesting one too because, you know, it looked like you wrote a pretty robust script and it's not like you can just memorize all of that.
So, how does one still like interact with the video and, you know, the way that I did it, which was just, you know, just the way I did it was I would literally do line by line.
So, I'd look at the line and then I'd record it and then I would pause it and then I'd look at the line.
So, if you watch my master classes, there's like lots of cuts and, you know, even with that, had I been reading it, would it have less sales?
You don't really know for sure, but what I do know is that trust is something that sells and so trust and like warmth where people like you.
So even if it's just that introduction, like what's going on guys, like I'm so happy that you are here so I can really feel your heart, that would be good as well.
@41:23 - Zoom user
Well, I was thinking maybe doing a two-minute piece as you just said, just doing something off the fly saying, I'm really excited that you're coming to this mask class.
I put it together. It's my first one. I hope you love it. Okay, it's not perfect, but enjoy it.
It's the information that I'm putting out there. Give it a go and hopefully that will then allow people to go.
@41:51 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Okay. Yeah, and making sure that as you're speaking, it's making people excited about watching it. Like super stoked. Like I'm glad you're here.
You're going to learn how to do this. You're going to step into a new life. You're going to, you know, like really like making them feel like, ah, if I watch this, I'm going to expand.
@42:13 - Zoom user
Oh, thank you.
@42:15 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. And then for, um, oh, that says, did you use Kajabi for your community? Also, if ever use podcast feature, I'm thinking about using it further.
Um, I use Circle for my community. And I just, yeah, I took a long time to figure out what I was going to do in terms of Circle or not, or Kajabi.
But just like the user interface I like more with Circle, I'm super picky. I mean, I've developed apps before.
I've launched companies and I'm a user interface designer, user experience designer. And so when things don't go the way that I want, it just really bugs me.
there's a little thing. things within circle. They're also like, Oh, man, there's like that thing you don't notice until you're actually in it, which is like, I don't want everyone to get a notification when anyone posts in the community.
And right now, if you sign up, like you just get a ton of emails. And John, did you notice that when you registered?
Did you get lot of emails?
@43:18 - Zoom user
Yeah, not so much at the moment, but okay, they do like they go to your social folder.
@43:26 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
So you might not see them. But I would rather me be able to choose if they don't get an email when every when anyone posts anything in the community.
But you couldn't do that. can only turn off all emails. And I'm like, well, if someone knows, if someone sends them a DM or, you know, I still want them to get an email there and mention.
@43:44 - Beth
there a workflow that you can use? is there a way to do the workflow system? So when somebody signs up, they only get notifications of like latest drops?
Like, is there a system into it? Or is like circle, you're in? I might not be asking it, right?
@44:00 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
My brain is fried, so I mean, it's like, yeah, when they sign up, yeah, there's just like, certain default features that are certain divisions, and there's no way to individually say, yes, they should get an email from this, shouldn't get.
So there's little, little things within it that, you know, but that's my perfectionism. And I can just let that go and just keep growing my community.
And, you know, people are loving it in there. So I'll just keep fostering that community making something really, really awesome.
And then I don't use the podcast feature in Kajabi. It seems awesome. You know, if I do start a podcast again, I'll probably use that feature.
It's cool that it sends it out to other podcasts.
@44:45 - Beth
Yeah, because I had a, I did a test call just to see if I could do it today with a farmer up in Michigan who took this agriculture land that had been tilled, stripped, like, completely abused, and within six months.
Is already growing fruit trees on it already has you know chickens I already has like all the regenerator stuff set up and the way that they approach it was just so lovely And so had a chance to talk with them today And it was such a good combo and there's I was like, you know what?
wonder if I can use this audio like the video wasn't terrible. wasn't bad I'm like, wonder if I can use the audio where like I can make that into like a podcast because it was easy to listen to like Listening back to it.
I don't like listening to myself like talk. I don't like watching my videos. I hate it I cringe at it.
I don't know why it just it doesn't sit. Well, I'll do it for editing But that's it but watching this it was so fun to hear the conversation again And like you could feel the excitement the curiosity and it just made you want to go Oh, what is that?
And so with I haven't explored kajabi yet into it But those systems that I used for that podcast to record it it automatically sliced it up And it was like, here's the titles of the section.
Here's the description. Here's what you talk about and I'm like, that saved me hours done. But I want to be able to launch it easy and I already have Kajabi.
So I went ahead and I got like a bigger tier of it just because I had so many contacts coming in.
So I wanted to make sure that all that all ported well.
@46:16 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, that's awesome. Yeah, I think that'd be great. mean, to have it sounds like you already have a lot of people who are very interested in what you have to offer and what you have to talk about.
yeah, it's such an awesome niche that sounds fun.
@46:32 - Beth
But honestly, your UI experience, the eye that you have for sites and the user experience, I'm telling you right now, I love that.
I would appreciate any, any and all feedback into it. I've worked with UX designers. I've worked with developers. I've been a leader of teams of them.
I enjoy that criticalness that makes sense. yeah, because I know if you're seeing it that way, somebody's going to see it that way.
And so that's just another perspective to take into account. do you know what I mean? Like, yeah, I love it.
So don't ever hold back. Not saying that you are, but definitely please bring it because it's good.
@47:09 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
We'll do it. We'll do. I appreciate the invitation.
@47:13 - Caroline
On that note, Michael, I asked this question in the telegram, but I don't think it got answered. I hope I didn't get answered.
I'm asking it twice. How important do you feel it is for the on the sales page with the video on it for the time reveal to happen?
Like, what if what if it's just all there? Like, how important is that to sales and music experience? I mean, I know I love it.
It's cool. And there's a little part of me that's still a little bit. I'll tell you why. I just feel like I should tell you why I'm asking the I'm still thinking about just doing Thrive Cart because, you know, I paid $500 once for it and I don't have to keep paying for it.
I love flow desk for an email just because I'm just so creative and I love that. Like, flodastic experience for me is just like so much easier on my brain.
And even though I have so much in kajabi, I'm still like on that teeter totter of like, oh, I would love to not use kajabi even though I know it has everything in it.
But for me, it's like, there's something about the energy of it and the masculineness of it that is just hard for me.
So that's why I'm asking the question.
@48:23 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. What is it about flowdesk just out of curiosity that you that you love?
@48:33 - Caroline
It's super creative in like how you can make emails. And like, I've done emails in kajabi, you know, and I know you can add different things to it stuff, but there's just something about flowdesk that has like, it's all just right there.
They have like this cute little color palette and you can just make the color that has like the little, you know, fonts right there.
you can think of fonts that has like these, it's just like a little different options and they're just something about like even when I receive an email from photosque and like, ah, that's okay.
Like I can tell they use photosque, you know, but I also don't want to be stuck on it. I mean, and I could do them both because I can connect the two.
But yeah, that's what I like about it. It just feels like I'm painting a picture versus like, like in Kajabi, you know, you have to like write it on the left hand side and then appears on the right.
Like for me that for my brain, I just don't love that experience. And like part of what I do is like writing emails a lot.
Yeah. Yeah.
@49:34 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. You think one was designed by a male and one was designed by a female then?
@49:39 - Caroline
Yeah. So it was designed by two women. Oh, okay. Yeah.
@49:43 - Beth
That's why it's intuitive.
@49:46 - Caroline
Yeah. It's very intuitive and creative.
@49:48 - Beth
Actually, yes, it's very intuitive.
@49:51 - Caroline
Oh, that's him for him.
@49:52 - Beth
Yeah.
@49:54 - Caroline
Yeah.
@49:55 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Love that. I can tell you really with that just feeling certain at like there's Certain apps that I just like absolutely love and it's like I tried ClickFunnels.
@50:03 - Caroline
If you want to see masculine go to ClickFunnels. Oh, tried it I can't do it.
@50:08 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, it's it's ridiculous Great marketing. So I'm always like yeah, I want to try that and when I'm there.
@50:14 - Beth
I'm just like what in the world It's like programming to try to put like a picture on there They did not The one that was had this really good feminine energy to it and that could scale really easy But there is a steep learning curve like it's easy You're just gonna send a message if you're gonna customize it and you're branding and you're gonna use like a landing page on the back end Like there's a there's a bit of a learning curve into it.
@50:41 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah for sure Yeah, I did post in the chat about that, but it's I've seen different. No, all good I've seen different AV tests that have said both that like
Like, it was like, essentially when it comes down to like, which one makes more money, which one has a higher ratio of purchases, and it doesn't, it doesn't matter if it's there or not, if it time reveals or not, I like it just because I like the simplicity of they go there and all that there is a video because I really want them to watch the video, but they've shown where if there's like a button that's always there.
Yeah, it can work better or worse. It's, it's, it's seemed to be kind of random, but it's probably just based on the subject matter and the people who are going to it and, you know, how urgent they feel like they need to get whatever it is, or do they need to watch the video to get convinced they need what it is.
So, yeah, it's, it's not, it's not vitally important. You just don't want people to get confused, like, oh, I get to watch this free thing, and then when they're
They scroll down, it's talking about money and they're like, wait, what? is it free or is this, is that it?
Um, so I could say that in terms of not wanting confusion, but what actually makes more money and that's just, it's uncertain.
So if you want to do it, I would say just go ahead and do it. Um, and yeah, and just see how it goes.
Like if you get sales coming in and you got sales coming in. Yeah, it's like, I can share like my personal desire, but that doesn't matter for you.
You know, yeah, I was just curious.
@52:36 - Caroline
if you, if you did know some stuff behind it, which you obviously do, like, you know, the research behind it, because I, I enjoy it as well.
Like I like that, which is, you know, probably the reason I want to use Kajabi, but I'm also, you know, anyway, okay.
I'll fit into it.
@52:55 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yes. Yes.
@52:55 - Caroline
There's still some positives to Kajabi. So, you know, there's lots of positives to Kajabi. Well, I'm going make a decision in next 24 hours.
@53:06 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Nice. So you were thinking about not using Kajabi at all, using, like, you create the email signup and then goes to the landing page and that goes to your checkout form?
@53:17 - Caroline
Yes.
@53:19 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
that would be, yeah, so nothing would be on Kajabi.
@53:23 - Caroline
Right.
@53:24 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. If you have preferences outside of it, I would say go for it. And then for people who, yeah, I just want to create and they don't have a preference, then yeah, I would recommend you dot me.
Thank you. definitely send it over once you have it.
@53:47 - Caroline
Yeah, John. Okay.
@53:48 - Zoom user
I do have a question. I know in your videos, you said to use, like, red box for a red button when people are purchasing, but then red.
somewhere that the reason why Amazon uses yellow is that it's more friendly to purchase and I wanted what your thoughts were.
@54:13 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, the AB test that I saw, it wasn't actually like a red, like a bright red button, but it was like an orange, like a reddish orange button.
And Amazon's got like a light, light orange button. So, you know, with that, I'd have to look at some AB tests there.
ClickFunnels did release, it was like 108 AB tests. they basically took like thousands of people coming through their system, had two versions of all different kinds of things, button colors, content showing and not all that.
And then they showed what the winner was on each side. And they might have a button color in that.
That would definitely be newer than the studies that we did when we were when we had our e-commerce website back in the day.
But for Personally, when I do it, I usually use orange buttons. like the orange. feels good. Yeah, when it comes to A.B.
tests, it's interesting because sometimes what you think is right and what you think is going to perform well, it's like the opposite of it.
So what's most important is getting what you have done and putting it out there. After that, if you want, you can tweak it, you can A.B.
test, you can try different colors and all of that. Not the challenge I have had still do, but working on it with Kijabi is their domain.
You can't migrate a domain from Wix to Kijabi.
@55:43 - Beth
They're very limited on the back end on how you manage your domain. If you purchase through GoDaddy and stuff, totally easy.
That's normal. But if you're migrating from a WordPress, it can be okay. There's a longer delay. wicks, it's like a no-go.
Like you can only do a subdomain. So it all depends on where it's coming from. And because of that, I have to have like a subdomain.
So if people just look up cnscribe.com, they're going to my old site. And so I'm still getting people signed up and doing all kinds of stuff.
And I'm like, damn it, because I can't get people off of it. And so what I've done is I have it as a subdomain right now.
And then I'm migrating cnscribe.com to GoDaddy, which will take another like four days. I'm migrating it to there. And then from there, I have to migrate it into Cajabi.
So I have to like hop, skip it. And it's pain in the to get it to my grated way from wicks over to GoDaddy.
had to, it took me like two days just of talking to people. And people saying, no, you can't do it.
And like, no, it has to be able to be done. Legally, you have to be able to let me do it.
And so it took a hot minute, because wicks just wasn't going to allow it. That's the only problem that I'd had with Cajabi.
That and I had a whole bunch of like little things, like little artworks and like little, For example, when you're going from one section to the next in the website, I had it almost like a collage where it kind of like blended together.
It wasn't just like stark sections. So I had like plants that would kind of creep down and then like some vines.
like, so it all built a collage, if that makes sense. That was the whole vibe. I can't do that in Kajabi easily.
It makes a lot of tweaking of like the positions, if it's flush or not. I'm just like, I don't have time to set that up.
There's a little too hard. So that's the only other thing. But, you know, I'll get back to that one day.
I'll make it a collage again one day.
@57:34 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. And I don't know UX.
@57:36 - Beth
So like, not like that. I know when it doesn't feel right. That's it. That's what I'm going with.
@57:45 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah.
@57:45 - Beth
Yeah.
@57:46 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Sometimes there's there's when we use different aspects, different software. There's certain things that it's like, okay, like you just can't do that certain thing or some things we just kind of kind of let go of.
Yeah. So render to the flow. But of what is being used, but yeah, it sounds like Wix is a pretty closed environment when it comes to domains, if you purchase your domain from Wix.
So yeah, that sounds like Wix trying to hold on to their customers a little bit too hard.
@58:19 - Beth
Yeah, but I did the three segments, like in the web page, or the three types of experiences that I want people to be able to have, and trying to pare down the text a little bit to try and make it clear and understandable.
So that's been very helpful, just kind of going through that experience, that whole process. So I tend to be verbose.
@58:47 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Nice, yeah, I hear that. Caroline has a team of women that you could work with. cool.
@58:55 - Beth
I would love that.
@58:59 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Nice. Yeah, if you can get into the code if you know the coding you can do it.
@59:03 - Beth
Yeah anything. That's what I've been doing. I've not been doing any of the declarative stuff. just been punching in my pictures and just where you can get in there.
So that way I'm spending less time doing that. And I want to get to building the masterclass and do it.
So now I've got I feel like I've finally got it. I feel like it resonates like the direction makes sense now.
And it all ties in. So do you have the questions that you started the call with? Most of them I'm like, yes, yes.
And I'm like, yeah, there's things that's not not keeping my energy up, but I can't ignore it. I'm not in the position where I can at the moment.
So that's the only thing is like, how do I at least minimize it? I got to say, when tik-tok went down, even though it was like 12 hours, it's actually quite peaceful.
I think it was like the permission of like, you can't do it now, you know, like, you don't get to.
And I'm like, okay, this is kind of nice. I literally had a home morning of not using my phone or looking at
or doing anything, and it was actually really peaceful. I thought it was a So, Yeah, of course it's your sock peacock.
Yeah.
@1:00:11 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yep. Awesome. Well, it is really awesome to see your guys' progress. cool to hear how things are going. When you do have your funnel finished, post it in the chat.
I would love to see it, love to watch it. And yeah, let's get all those finished so that we can start to focus on bringing people into the funnel and turning them on and experiencing the magic of the funnel.
Are there any questions before we head off? Awesome. Cool.
@1:00:54 - Beth
Thank you.
@1:00:55 - Zoom user
Thank you so much. Yeah, I appreciate you guys, and I will see you in a week.
@1:01:00 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
See you in the Telegram group. Much love to y'all. And go ahead. Take care. Bye, everyone.
