9/23/24
Meeting Summary (AI Generated)
Key Themes
-
Work-Life Balance & Time Management:
- Discussions around managing multiple projects and finding time to work on creative efforts while handling daily responsibilities.
- Michael shares his personal strategies for waking up earlier to gain extra hours for productivity and well-being.
-
Building a Business & Offer Creation:
- The main focus was on creating a low-tech offer to get started with monetizing creative expertise.
- Michael guides the group on building an offer, emphasizing the importance of starting small with a simple product, which helps participants get used to the process and build confidence.
- He discusses the significance of creating free offers (lead magnets) to attract people into their funnel, later transitioning them into paying customers.
- Free vs Paid Offers: Michael suggests starting with a low-ticket offer (e.g., $47 for a product) and then creating a free offer to funnel people towards purchasing the paid product.
-
Meditation & Visualization Exercise:
- Michael leads a grounding meditation, helping participants envision a “golden light of endless possibilities” representing their goals and dreams. This meditation helps them feel connected to their creative and business endeavors.
Specific Offer Creation Steps
-
Phase 1: Creating a low-tech paid offer (e.g., a short course with 3-5 videos).
- Start small with a focus on ease of execution.
- This low-tech offer serves as the foundation for the future business.
-
Phase 2: Transition to marketing and creating desire.
- Michael emphasizes desire creation as a key aspect of selling a product.
-
Examples & Ideas Shared:
- Alli Bee Yoga is working on a retreat design course and thinking about a free mini-course on energetics or mindset for beginners, with an upsell to a more detailed course on retreat creation.
- Michael suggests positioning yourself as an expert and guiding people through a step-by-step process, while providing value in both free and paid offerings.
Practical Advice:
- Michael explains how free masterclasses should be structured to deliver value and create desire. These classes should provide insights and educate the audience while subtly transitioning into a pitch for the paid product.
- He also outlines the importance of urgency and recommends offering a special price for the product during the free class as an incentive for immediate action.
Mindset Tips:
- The group explores the power of visualization and how mentally practicing or imagining success can lead to better outcomes. Michael cites research showing that mental practice can be as effective as real-world practice.
- Michael and James discuss the power of the unconscious mind, reminding participants that positive thoughts lead to positive results.
Audience Engagement & Marketing Tools:
- Michael introduces ManyChat as an automation tool for social media engagement, allowing creators to capture leads easily by having followers comment on posts and automatically receive the course link via DM.
Personal Highlights:
- Michael shares how building a consistent offer and funnel has led to long-term business success, emphasizing that there is always room to refine and build on this structure over time.
Action Items:
- Create an Outline for a Paid Offer: Start with the structure of the product, identify key lessons or videos, and make it easy to follow.
- Create the Free Offer: Focus on teaching the what and why, and leave the paid product to teach the how.
- Engage Your Audience: Utilize tools like ManyChat to guide followers from social media into your funnel.
Final Thoughts:
- Michael ends the session encouraging everyone to keep creating and start implementing these ideas, using feedback from clients or followers to build more value-driven products.
Bright Creators - September 23
VIEW RECORDING - 87 mins (No highlights)
@0:01 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
This meeting is being recorded. Well, that's going on, James.
@0:21 - James Guiry
There we go. Cool. All right. Could we diss me in you today? Okay.
@0:29 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
It could just be us.
@0:30 - James Guiry
No deep dive.
@0:31 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I know, right?
@0:32 - James Guiry
Good bad thing. Well, I'll take that, dude. For sure.
@0:37 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Glad to hear that you've been having lot of clients and helping them out.
@0:41 - James Guiry
Yeah, it's been, um, it's been really, uh, really busy, like the last couple of weeks. And, um, you know, I like, I posted a couple of videos, right?
So a couple of videos. So I have two different webcams. One's up here. I like the new eye contact one.
It comes down here. So I can look at it. So I'm looking at you. like anyway, so it's weird.
But yeah, so I've had a few clients are like, I think those videos helped and I don't know, it'd be Menispestation or just kind of intentions.
But yeah, just like, you know, like 20 clients in two weeks and you learn a lot, that's for sure.
Yeah, you kind of have to navigate, you know, helping a lot of people out maintain your own energies and but yeah, it's nothing like getting in the field and like getting that real time like learning.
Because it helps, know, that's, but also but the downfall is not having the time or not making enough time to work on the other projects.
So it's a balance between like doing it and also working on the bigger projects, which is why I'm taking this course is, you know, not get caught up in the small things, the big things, right?
@1:51 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
yep. Yeah, it definitely is a balance. I mean, you like that work-life balance, the work-to-work balance. Like for me, there's a lot of the work to work.
It's I'm focusing on this putting lot of energy in this and also focusing on this as well or what is that dream that we have and I know a lot of people here are they have their their job that they're doing outside of this and they maybe want this to be a supplement or to take over.
So it's like how does one balance that you know there's the leap of faith moment where it's like you just quit everything and just go for it.
And there's other approaches of like working on it in the nights and weekends but.
@2:28 - James Guiry
Yeah, you need to like save a little bit in the tank while we say like what are the three things that I need to let go of that are blocking me from doing with the big dream right because you got work and every I use to manage bank for 15 years and I was doing this is like saving that extra time in the tank and there's probably three habits that we all have that are holding us back, know, Netflix, you know, person, you know, whatever that, that's part of you.
@2:54 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, so 100% yeah, yeah, you know, yeah, I've been recently waking up. really making up really just like getting a couple extra hours in the day.
And that has been an absolute game changer in like every way, even like just my mental health.
@3:08 - James Guiry
Are you going to bed earlier?
@3:10 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah.
@3:11 - James Guiry
Yeah. You saw, you saw, you'll kind of, I feel like you still need like the seven or eight hours of sleep.
But maybe it's a different way of training your mind, right?
@3:22 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
like, yeah, you know, my wife and I, just to hang out at night and maybe watch the shows or something, watch maybe like one or two, two, many shows.
so just like, you know, limiting that just a couple while we're eating and making sure that we have an eating ritual and we, we get to bed at good time.
I recently got this whoop, um, which I did, I did that for two years. It's great. It's so good.
It's so good. And it's like sleep is one of the most important things we can do.
@3:50 - James Guiry
It helps us live longer.
@3:51 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
helps us think better, helps our emotions. And so yeah, I make sure that I get plenty of sleep and also I'm waking up at a good time.
@4:00 - James Guiry
The woop woop is great. I like literally two years war and I was like the takeaway for me was make sure you get to sleep, make sure you watch like, you know, you eating late at night, you know, what is your routines and you start tracking.
Oh, if I do this habit, this equals a better day versus doing that habit equals that day. You know, so little things like that.
Yeah, don't drink at night. That's the secret. Don't drink alcohol. If you do, don't drink it late at night.
@4:29 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, it definitely does. I've seen the effects of that on my oops already, alcohol.
@4:37 - James Guiry
Awesome.
@4:39 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Well, here we are. Welcome everyone. Good to have y'all here. We got Stephanie, Lorraine, Alibi, yoga, cooking some food.
Susan here, probably by the lake as well. Susan's always chilling by the lake.
@4:53 - Alli Bee Yoga
It's my dog's food. My dog's food. This just happens to be a like dinner hours there to get winter to not bark at me that we have to feed them.
@5:05 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
There you go. Dogs are, dogs are such sweet animals. was watching my friends dog in it. It's just like, oh my gosh, they're such a little guardians.
All right, so let's just start this, just drop it in. You can do this with your eyes open, do this with your eyes closed, or just going to do a quick little meditation.
So if you'd like, just become still with where you're at or still within your own mind. Take a nice deep breath in.
Ground into this day. Take another nice deep breath in. Grounding into this present moment. Now another deep breath in.
And ground into your body. really just feeling what it feels like to be alive. Feeling the weight of your body on your chair or on your feet, feeling the breath entering your lungs, perhaps tracking your breath from your nostrils, feeling like a cool sensation on your nostrils into your nose, swirling air into your lungs, feeding your body with new oxygen, just noticing the subtleties of how good it feels to breathe, drowning us into this present moment.
Now imagine a gorgeous light in front of you, a beautiful golden light in front of you, and this golden light is your endless possibilities.
Think about what you want to put into this endless possibilities, golden light, you can put anything into it. a successful business, finding love, content that hits for the people that are meant to see it, having your ideas come to you, you're still thinking about what you want to create.
It brings the process creating it, but you have some difficulties exploring what that is, or how to do it.
See clarity in this bubble, seeing success in this bubble. So in this beautiful bubble of light in front of you, really blessing it, appreciating it, and then finally when you're ready accepting it and allowing that light to come into your heart and as it enters your body it fills you with all of that which you are calling in.
Notice any emotions that come up? Notice any symptoms? sensations that arrive, breathe into them, and allow this to be a new part of you.
Just take a couple breaths on your own, grounding into this new energy. And when you're ready slowly, blinking your eyes open.
Awesome. Welcome back. Great create for us.
@8:48 - James Guiry
That was good.
@8:49 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Thank you. Yeah, welcome.
@8:51 - James Guiry
Very welcome. I like the grounding part. You're hypnotizing us. You just don't realize it. You might realize it. But yeah, like really.
Visioning the light versus like yeah, but like you really feel it. That's when change happens right like when you really Take it in.
Yeah, there is magic there.
@9:09 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
There truly is magic. There's a study Talk about this a lot, but there's a study done where they had basketball players Throw what free throws for an extended period time 20 30 minutes in their mind You know over and over and over there practicing throwing these free throws Just in their mind and then when they put them on the court They found that the players who were visualizing throwing them Were significantly better like not just like a little bit better, but they were significantly better So practicing it in one's own mind and visualizing it and envisioning it is True magical not to I was does a study they did where they'd actually imagine working out and then the people that were imagining working out Actually, they were getting stronger by just imagining working now.
@10:00 - James Guiry
So yes So the power of belief and thought is like the unconscious mind doesn't know the difference from what you're creating and what you're doing.
So like negative thoughts turn into negative feelings and you know positive thoughts. that's cool. I love that stuff.
@10:16 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Very cool. Love that. Thanks for sharing that. All right. So we are currently at, I've noticed a little bit of confusion as to where we're at, what stage we're at.
So I'm just going to give a little overview of where we're currently at and break creators. So we are creating our offer.
This is a paid offer that you can share with the world. This is what I would recommend is if you're putting some focus and some attention on social media or going viral or trying to make that thing to hit, I would focus attention now on creating your offer.
So this is a business course. and we have to create that offer in order to have a business. If you don't have anything that you're selling, you simply don't have a business.
And by putting in the effort to creating something, anytime I in that effort to creating an offer, I do research, I write down what I'm gonna talk about in the video, I study it.
All of a sudden I'm diving really deep into a specific aspect of something that I'm creating. Something that I already knew about, but I'm learning even more about it.
And I'm becoming an even deeper expert in it. And so the whole creation process of making the videos, setting up a light, recording it, uploading it, all of that is gonna get you into a mental state of being an expert.
And then when heading back into social media, that is when you're gonna come from this whole new perspective where all of a sudden it's a little bit easier to share about all these things.
You're like, oh, that one aspect I could share about, you become that teacher. So, in this moment in Bright Creators, I would love for everyone, if you feel called always, to focus on creating your offer.
And the module that is up right now is all about how to create that offer. I recommend watching all the videos on it.
There are videos on brainstorming the offer. video is kind of like a higher perspective of, here's what we're going to be doing throughout the course of this program, just so you know, like, I'm a kind of person, I learned really well by like knowing the full picture and then going into it.
So I have that picture always in my mind. So definitely watch those. Basically all the videos are very important in this latest module.
I have moved the social media module to the bottom, because that is how I'm going to be doing it from now on in this course.
We'll start with the business, then get the social media after that. So I don't want you guys to get confused.
Now, the social media stuff at the bottom. So what you're looking for is phase one, phase one. We are creating a low-tech offer, something easy, something simple, it could be three videos, four videos, five videos, something that has a lot of good substance in it, but isn't going to take you a full month and a half to create or something that is going to take a lot of research and effort to create.
This is just to get used to the blueprint. This blueprint that we're creating can be used for anything, used for an offer that you sell for $4,000, and can be used for an offer that you sell for $40.
So creating a low-tech offer just lets you realize how it all works, get used to it, because once you have this, this is the key, this is the ticket to whatever you'd like to sell.
After this module, the next module, we're going to get into marketing, which is going to be a lot of fun, that is where the magic happens, because most people, they try do
This also doesn't work because they're not creating desire. Desire is the most important thing when it comes to purchasing something.
@14:09 - Lorraine
have to give me awareness before you have the low ticket thing.
@14:17 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
First, I would recommend creating a low ticket offer. So that's something that maybe is going to cost $200 that you discount to $47 if they get it while they watch your free master class.
So the first thing is a paid offer. And then from the paid offer, we're going to create a free offer.
The free offer is going to be just a single class, a single video-based class where you share what it is, you share the research behind it, you share all the benefits of it, you start to educate people on the importance of essentially what your offer is.
And some testimonies, you can share a lot of stuff about at it. And then at the end of your free offer, that's when you have that cell for them to purchase the offer.
And I like to, I like to create the paid offer first, and then from that, then create the free offer.
Just because then you already know what you're selling, you kind of have to know what you're selling in order to add that part to your to your video, but you don't have to worry about the free offer yet that will come next.
ACTION ITEM: Create outline for retreat design course. Include main topics, benefits, and potential upsells (e.g. manifesting mantra workshop). - WATCH
Has anyone started their free offer?
@15:31 - Lorraine
I know Nikki did.
@15:34 - Alli Bee Yoga
I kind of have like I'm building a retreat design course. And I was thinking about how I could like give a little bit of information about how to be your own boss when it comes to like energetics and your mindset and where you have to be mentally in order to do something like this and have that be my free.
And then be like, if you want to know more about getting into the details of designing a. retreat and what it would look like, you can, I was going to do like a 12 course thing and have it be like, I don't know, it may take me a lot of time.
So I'm thinking $47 is kind of low for that. So maybe I can give like a kind of informative course that's like four or a more intense 12 course that's more.
@16:27 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
yeah, I don't know.
@16:29 - Alli Bee Yoga
have two people right now that are like, I need to know, I want to know what I'm working with actually with the resort.
And he just like signed his contract yesterday. So just got off of a one on one with him to like discover his why and his purpose.
So the course also comes with one on one if you want. But I just need to figure out how to like make it on a video and put it on something, but I haven't gotten to Kobe or to Kobe.
@16:58 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. Yeah, and you can start with a higher ticket offer, 100% possible, you just create a few more videos and now you have like maybe like 12 or so videos that are all the different lessons in it.
You can 100% do that. Yeah, you don't have to start with it.
@17:16 - Alli Bee Yoga
can just be like, how to get going.
@17:19 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, it'll be like, you want it to be enticing. So like, how did it get going?
@17:24 - Alli Bee Yoga
These are the main things you need to know to get started. Yeah.
@17:29 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
you can get into mindset, you can get into like some like things you learned along the way.
@17:34 - Alli Bee Yoga
Yeah.
@17:35 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All those things like you can also like, oh, people don't know this, but you have to do this.
So you start to position yourself as the expert in that free class. And then if they want that step by step guide on like everything to do, that's when they can purchase the full course.
And I'll be giving you a template of how to structure that free video so that it guides them along
a full emotional process of like really getting to know you like you trust you, share the information and create a desire and then offering what you have to sell.
@18:09 - James Guiry
Is that similar?
@18:10 - Alli Bee Yoga
Should this video be like 45 minutes or an hour or 30 minutes?
@18:15 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
So the video that I have that sells my low-tech offer is 20 minutes long. The video that I have to sell my multi-thousand-dollar offer that is about an hour long or so.
ACTION ITEM: Brainstorm and outline low-ticket offer based on existing coaching services. - WATCH
So it could be if you're creating a video, a free video for a higher ticket offer, it could be anywhere from like 30 minutes to 90 minutes.
@18:37 - Alli Bee Yoga
Okay.
@18:38 - James Guiry
Question on that, Michael. So just the format is for the low-ticket offer, small video or something explaining what the low ticket is, could that be a trailer?
Could that be like a really nice trailer that sells it? are you saying like do a longer video to explain the low ticket and then a little bit longer one to explain the
ticket one? Is that kind of what your portal is?
@19:02 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, it's not a trailer. You don't want to feel like it's a sales video because then people aren't going to, they're not going to sign up for a sales video.
But you want to make it a class, like an actual class that has a lot of value in it.
So let's say, well, I'll share the one I have. have a past life regression library that's library that knows this audio as people can purchase.
That is the low ticket offer, $47 that it's normally $200. But if they watch the full class, they get it for $47.
So that's a series of audios. It's like essentially guided meditations. And then for the free offer, it is it's called the past life regression masterclass.
So I create a master class where I basically talk all about past life regression. And when I share, I share about if you're curious to learn about how you can learn about your past lives.
I'm not saying like, this is, you're going to learn about your past life. If you want to learn about how basic I go over all the science behind all the past life regressionists, I go over
a lot of data-driven research. educate them like crazy on all this stuff about it, and also I hype it up like it's super cool, like here are little benefits of it.
And then at the end of it, then I share. And if you wanna go deeper, if you are interested in actually learning about your past lives, created some incredible offer with some amazing human therapists.
If you get on this live, or if you get it on in that master class, you know, you save X amount of money.
@20:27 - James Guiry
I gotcha. Okay, so you're pumping up the free ticket offer. Okay, first is like having, I mean, you probably could have a trailer for the low ticket, but you're making it more like learn, and then at the end, do you wanna sign up?
@20:41 - Alli Bee Yoga
Okay, I gotcha.
@20:42 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
It's how Michael got up, just signed up for this one. Exactly, yeah. Almost everyone went through that. There's couple people who just signed up, but yeah, almost everyone went through the full process.
And when people are purchasing anything, they need to learn about it. And a part of that process is learning about you.
So, you know, learning who you are, like, why they should be listening to you in particular, where you can hype yourself up, you can create the desire, and then you can create the urgency to get it done in there, because people also need urgency to get something.
@21:13 - James Guiry
So would you like you be selling the—you would tell them what it is, and then they would click on the free ticket to learn more at the end, it's the offer, right, like you're showing what it is, but I got you.
@21:26 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
So, the full process of it is on social media or email or wherever you're sharing. You share that you have a free class that they can take, free class to learn all about past labs, and then once they put their email in, they get—they get to watch it right away right then and there, it also gets emailed to them, so you get both, and then once they do that, then, yeah, they're given the opportunity to produce it.
Got it. Yeah. Yeah, and this is the process. I've been talking with lot of entrepreneurs about what they do do, and everyone is essentially doing a variant of this.
A lot of people, kind of the old school way to do it, is to host live events, to host like big old webinars with all these people, to send it out to your email list, and essentially that live event is what this free class is.
The cool thing about the free class though is it is evergreen. So live events are, that's a lot of work, lot of energy, you've got to like sign people up to it, hope everyone shows up and do it, you get to do it once, and like that's it.
But with this, you do it once, it's in the evergreen funnel, and then forever you can guide people to just get that free class very casually.
And so it's a consistent thing. I've had the same product, I know a lot of entrepreneurs as well who have like a new product every single week or every single month, they have some new thing they're tossing out there.
I've had the same product for about three years now and you know made hundreds of thousands dollars on it and there's not like you know there's not like a limited amount of people out there so yeah it's definitely something that that can have a lot of a lot of legs going.
@23:16 - Stephanie Banner
Can I ask a question Michael really quick? Yeah of course sorry to take us off course but a creator that I followed who has this system she hosted three live events is this what you're talking about on TikTok live and she sent out like announcements saying we go live in 30 minutes but if you want to catch the replay it's here it's ever green like you can always come back and watch it it's free but she hosted like so it was kind of like it sounds like a hybrid of what you're talking about or yeah where it's like a live on TikTok.
@23:53 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah then like it's going to be anywhere so if you watch it at the end of her live she most likely is going to happen.
of like a portion of it where she's saying, oh, if you wanna go deeper, here you go. So it's exactly this, but this removes that need go live.
So when I first started off, all I was doing was TikTok live. That's all I was doing. I didn't realize that this whole funnel thing, dream business fun, I didn't realize any of it.
I had heard about funnels, but no one ever told me like the exact process to do. And so I was going live all the time, was sharing people, getting to know me like me.
every now and then I'd share about these offers that I had. And people were purchasing them.
@24:31 - Stephanie Banner
was like, this works, this is awesome.
@24:32 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
And then I, nice, there we go. There we go, that's great. I love that. And then I would create a video on my TikTok and be like, I have this thing that I'm selling, crickets.
I'm like, why, how come it's working on TikTok, but it's not working on my videos? And that's when I realized I needed to create what I was doing in the TikTok lives in a free video that people will get from my account.
So it's, yeah, it's been a bit.
@25:00 - Stephanie Banner
Yeah, exactly. Exactly. It's kind of getting you out of the TikTok wild wild west and like funneling everybody into your like saloon now.
@25:12 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
And it's like, okay, this is what I have. It's like, what do you want to drink? Here's my offer.
Do you know what I mean? It wasn't like just out there with all the myriad of other live creators like throwing it out there.
Yeah. And once they hop into your saloon, they have a drink, they love the drink. You're like, you want to try this drink?
The strings also really good. They try that drink, know, so like getting them into your email list and then you get to know you really well.
You can send them emails. So we'll be getting into all of that after the creation of the course. But yeah, very much like that.
Like essentially when it comes to funnels, the value ladder of the funnel is you have these offers a low ticket offer.
And the next thing you can offer from that is a high ticket offer and then a higher ticket offer.
And you can keep offering things. You can keep creating things. So it's like it's never ending. Beautiful business that you can create on your own that just keeps rolling on.
ACTION ITEM: Draft outline for low-ticket offer on divine union/relationship topics. - WATCH
Yeah. Yeah, it's it's really incredible Awesome. Thank you. Yeah, have you guys thought about what your offer might be?
@26:14 - Stephanie Banner
We have thanks for asking we were gonna bring it up with you For some reason this step is the feeling so Overwombing for me.
I don't know why I think it's because we have so before you had the AI Meeting last week with everybody.
I had been playing around with chat GPT and I said write me a mini course on Embodying your divine masculine divine feminine and it sent me a whole outline mini course of how to do that So then I told him.
Oh, this is our outline now. We're gonna give our energy. gonna give our spirit to this We're gonna use this outline, we're gonna make videos, you know, it's like we were on along that line But do you want to tell them what we decided on like what we're like throwing around kind of yeah
Well, our initial hook and our, you know, beginning phase would be like, given the synopsis of, you know, leading from what it takes to come into a divine union, so talking about healing, talking about what we did individually to do that, up to dating, and then the process going through that and coming into a relationship, and then eventually where we're at, which outline in blueprint, but then say, okay, well, if you want to dive deeper into dating or healing, here's a mini course on how to do this, and we'll have all these different breakout courses in a sense that we could sell through that.
So we are kind of thinking of offering the main thing for free, because we liked what was discussed in the last meeting that we weren't here for, but I love the whole idea of like being generous and like offering something as like this start to your.
new to your business, to your venture is being like what's the word generous and giving it to somebody and saying because at the end of the day like we really want people to find love we feel like when people find love that's beautiful that's based on healing.
It makes the world better right so at the end of the day we truly do want to do it as like a service to the world.
But also like if okay if you wanted here's this for free but if you want to delve further into like how to embody your divine masculine as you're preparing to meet your divine feminine or whatever.
Here's a course on that like so here's this thing for free and then if you want to purchase other things later to go deeper so I don't know what do you think with that idea.
@28:45 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah free I've never seen free things and not be a good idea. Because the more that you're putting out the more you're given like if people are resonating with it and they're learning something from it, then they're going to enjoy it and then if you.
have something else that you're offering them, they're going to want that next step, that next level. Social media is essentially a free course.
always sharing and sharing and sharing and sharing, and that's why we grow followings. People like us because we're sharing so much for free.
then it's really up to you guys of what that free offer might look like, like what that free thing is, like how much effort and energy you want to put into it.
I would personally for the free thing, would do like real overview, like really just teaching people all the things, like you do want to kind of guide them through a system where what you share for free is energizing them, like by the time they finish that free thing, they should really want to go find their divine union, you know, like they should be like absolutely stoked.
They should know that it's possible. Yeah, and so they're they're energized and then and then the things that you offer are like more.
@30:00 - Stephanie Banner
specifics on how to embody your masculine or feminine or whatever it might be. Right. Go in deeper into them, right?
Okay.
@30:06 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Right.
@30:06 - Stephanie Banner
Yeah.
@30:07 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
And then looking around the right. Yeah, definitely on the right path. Yeah, you can never go wrong with creating content, creating free content, putting it out there, sharing with your audience.
You can also gather a lot of email addresses that way. it's the purpose of creating a free content is to get email addresses.
definitely make sure that you put it in system where, you know, they give that to you. That's right. That's right.
Yeah. Yeah.
@30:33 - Stephanie Banner
essentially. Thank you. Yeah. Awesome.
@30:36 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Thank you. Yeah.
@30:38 - James Guiry
Yeah. So do you have the free one you did for the past life one? I'm curious on what that that video was.
@30:45 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Do you happen to have that at all or? So right now I'm creating the content for creating your free offer, which is your free essential master class or class, whatever you'd like to call it.
I call it master class. just sounds more like a tangible thing that you're giving people. So I'm currently. Creating that and in that lesson, I'm going include a link to the past life regression class where you can fast forward or wind and all that.
Also to the bright creators master class, free master class, so you can check both of those out and study them.
@31:13 - James Guiry
Cool. Awesome.
@31:16 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. Yeah. And when you create that, when you create that free offer, that is essentially going to be that step in which you're guiding people into your world.
So it's super important that you introduce yourself and you're sharing who you are. Not only like who you are professionally, but also who you are.
As if you were meeting a friend. So that's one thing that people kind of forget to do. But like when when I do all my videos, I'm like, yeah, also a triple Virgo.
I share about you know, just like a little little things about me out, born on a new moon, like little fun facts about me where it's like, not necessarily, doesn't necessarily have anything to do with my business, but it helps people get to know you better and to like you, you know, and if they like you, they trust you.
So I'm going to open up this page here. And if, anyway, if any questions pop up, feel free to just unmute yourself and ask.
@32:34 - Alli Bee Yoga
You heard me. So when we have the free course, we need to already have the higher ticket course study, right?
@32:46 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, I would recommend doing it that way.
@32:47 - Alli Bee Yoga
Yeah. Okay.
@32:49 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Because at the end of the free, it's like a free class. It's usually just like a single class. At the end of the free class, you're then going to offer them,
what you have to offer, and because you've already completed it, you can talk about it in a way that, you know, you can share all the benefits, et cetera, of it.
Now if you are doing a much longer course or a program like this Bright Creators program, I'll let you guys know that it's the first time doing it, so we've been building it with you guys and getting all your feedback on it.
You can build it as you are doing it as long as you're giving the content in a way in which people can do it with you along along the way.
But you have to let them know that that is the, that's what you're doing.
@33:35 - Alli Bee Yoga
And, and Kajabi, if I were to just like start tomorrow and start to set it up, how quickly do you think I could turn around and put videos on there, and can I record my videos on Kajabi?
I need to record them on Zoom, save it to my computer, and then download them to Kajabi?
@33:56 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Kajabi does have its own recorder in the app. to use. I've known some highly successful people who record it on Zoom.
just do it as a call with themselves and record it that way so that they can do what they're used to.
I will be sharing in this week's content on how to do that with Canva. Canva is also in which you can record presentations and also have little video of yourself in the bottom.
So really whatever you feel most comfortable with, you can, yeah, you can kind of how quickly can you do it.
Really that's up to you and how much time you can dedicate to it but create the outline of what it essentially what it is and all each of the videos, each of the classes and then as many notes within each class as you can so that you really fill it up and then I mean that's basically it if you do want to create like a slide show or something like that or a PowerPoint presentation that's always helpful and useful and also a great guide to when you're talking through it.
like have the have the steps on the screen. You can create that too.
@35:04 - Alli Bee Yoga
But once you create that, you know, I wanted to create like a schedule template to put in there for them and like a couple different like workshop ideas, like templates.
Um, could I do that too and say, here's a free template guide to the scheduling. Here's a free template.
I guess that would be like free add-ons for purchasing, I guess.
@35:32 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, you could definitely mention that they get those free add-ons before they purchase it as an incentive to get it.
Like, yeah, I would for sure mention all the things that add value. You basically want to make it as valuable as possible because it is valuable.
each thing you add is value. can add like a numeric value to it. And this is what a lot of people who create funnels do.
just like everything that's in there, they just say that's worth this much after this much. And then the number that it's worth total is like this large number.
then eventually you sell it at a smaller number. So they see that perceived value and they realize they're getting a great deal.
And then technically speaking within Kajawbi within each lesson, you can upload files as well. you have like PDF files, you can add PDF files to it and it has like download section in each of the lessons.
And so in the video, you can just say, oh yeah, go to your download section, you can download the PDF for this thing.
@36:28 - Alli Bee Yoga
Awesome. Thank you.
@36:31 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. Very cool. excited to see what you create with that course.
@36:37 - Alli Bee Yoga
Thank you. It's awesome. it's like wanting to come out of me now and I'm like, patience, patience. But it's like happening now and I have the client that's here that's actually inspiring it to happen.
he's asking all the questions that I'm like, I need to get this in a course like right now. Because he's secretly helping me build it as I go.
@36:57 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
That's incredible. Yeah.
@37:00 - Alli Bee Yoga
That's a great one. I knew I needed this course.
@37:03 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. Perfect timing. And you have people lined up who are already guiding you in.
@37:07 - Alli Bee Yoga
Like that, that really, I've, I've seen that a bunch with, with you guys in this, in this course of like, there's like outside courses that are all like, Hey, you have this or kind of like guiding people into, uh, yeah, into creating what you want to create.
I keep repeating the same things over and over and over again. I'm like, you know what? I just need to like, I can make money off of this and put it in the course.
And just say it once. So yeah, we're inspiring what you're doing.
@37:34 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
So thank you for doing this. Yeah. And then once you've created it, there's also an option within Kajabi to create an affiliate program.
So if, you know, you're working with, uh, certain organizations, you can say I have this course. people are interested in, um, like learning all the things of what it takes to, um, post an event at your establishment, you can give them my course and if someone purchased
visit with their link, you know, you can give them X percent of the profits of it.
@38:05 - Alli Bee Yoga
I was going to ask my work meeting today. My manager for retreats kind of talking about this and their marketing person is talking about how they were going to be doing something like this.
I just happen to be doing it first. So that's good to know that there's an affiliate link that I can they're sales with and also help them with their hosts, even if it's not my personal client, but my co-workers.
So cool.
@38:37 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. Super cool to be able to offer that. And then when you're creating the course, what you want is to let them know where you're going to them.
So I'm going to take you from not knowing anything about hosting a live retreat to knowing everything that you need to know to host a wildly successful retreat.
So, if you can share that the journey that you're going to be taking people on, that's what then gets people to say yes, because they can start to feel into the emotion of having it done.
feels very valuable.
@39:14 - James Guiry
Awesome. Hey, Mike, on the courses, I learned this is creating a pajama draft. That's what these guys call it, where it's like you just video, just record yourself doing what you're going to do.
But not all dressed up, not all the perfect lighting, and just get it done. And then you get that kind of rough draft out of you.
And then when you do the final draft, you kind of get an idea of how you're going to say it, but just kind of get that rough draft done.
And even like, even edit it maybe little bit, right? That's kind of what I've been doing lately with videos is shoot it and go, okay, now I see how I'm going to say it.
And then you do the real setup, I don't know, yes, seems to work.
@39:53 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. Yeah, pajama draft. I think that's a great idea. Some people call it the first draft. But it's essentially like, you don't care what it is, you just do it, you put it out there.
And then once you've done it and it's like, okay. And then all of sudden, ideas come. the next time you do anything, it's always better.
yeah, I know Katherine sent a message and she was saying she was having some difficulties creating the things, some frustrations, and perhaps something like this would help where the pressure is lifted a little bit.
It's just like, put it out there to well, it's not for other people, it's just for you.
@40:32 - James Guiry
Like you're not putting it out there. This would be like a I'm just getting it done to see what does it look like.
Maybe a friend looks at it, but you're like, okay, something's it's a rough draft. And then I can clean it up on the second one versus thinking you have to be perfect on that first course, you know?
@40:48 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, kind of like, yeah. Yeah, I mean, just like, yeah, getting it out, getting it out of your head into something.
Something. Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
@40:56 - James Guiry
think that's that's really, really, really good. It's like, it's like a, it's like a rough. Draft on if you're editing you get a rough draft your editor fixes it up and then you create the final draft I guess exactly.
@41:06 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, it's kind of what it. Yeah, whether it's writing a book or what a movie that's always a draft process to it Storyboard etc.
Yeah, that's the same thing I do with my videos that I create like I'm always like I'll create Like I don't really know what I'm gonna do in this video.
I'll just like press record and be like all right so I'm gonna talk about Souls, you know, and then I I let go of record I'm like obviously that was bad, but like it got that momentum out and I delete it.
like, okay I'm talking about is this delete that. Okay, here's my real delete that And then I just keep like recording and deleting it until like my own energy starts getting momentum and then I start to come into like Oh, this is what I actually want to talk about Just like just starting is the most important thing I agree I Michael is it appropriate to ask a question about what I'm trying to
@42:00 - Lorraine
to do.
@42:01 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
One hundred percent there.
@42:02 - Lorraine
Yeah.
@42:03 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I would love to hear about what you're trying to do.
@42:06 - Lorraine
Because I'm so high in a curve. But anyway. Okay, so if I'm making horse content, okay, in the background, I've got these hard cards, right?
And then I have this idea that maybe I'll make an audio of me reading them and have that. That wouldn't be horse content.
I would need to do something along the heart-based living stuff, you know, the heart-mass stuff right now and, you know, get them interested because of the science.
And then I would have a free, I mean, a low-paid thing that would kind of guide them through the process.
And then I don't even know where the hard cards a whole separate gig with this. Does any of that make sense?
@42:52 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I'm just trying to get kind of more clear. Yeah, yeah. So yeah, you have your hard cards, which are amazing products, and you can add them.
those into your funnel in many different areas, but right now you're thinking about what is that course? Like what is that thing that you're going to sell?
What's the information? And so my question for you is out of all, because I know you have many certifications, many modalities, many things that you do, many healing modalities.
Is there anything that stands out to you if like, wow, this would be really awesome to teach people. Like if you could put your teacher hat on, and you can teach people something that's going to help them in life?
Is there anything that stands out that that feels most exciting?
@43:41 - Lorraine
Well, I mean, I guess in a way, the heart and math tools, because it's so designed to be used in your everyday life and be helpful, but I could almost just tie that in with being a form of energetic
prayer or something. don't know. That's, that's just, yeah.
@44:04 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
with the heart, with the heart math tools, if someone were to enter and they felt, they felt a certain way, like they needed it.
And then once they used it, they ended up here, what would be that journey like?
@44:25 - Lorraine
Yeah, it would be from, well, like this book, what one of these books on heart meant, from chaos to coherence, basically, you know, of course, yes, stressed out to a more calm, balanced daily life being one.
@44:47 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Okay, that's incredible. Yeah. if you were to let someone know that you've got this course, you're going to guide them through a few step process and then they're going to learn some
this mind, which many, I'm sure many people can relate with, to the way that you've worded it. I love the way that you worded it, but it's like calm and collected and essentially feeling good about life.
If you can let people know that that's the journey that you're taking them on, then you're creating value and people will be very interested.
the cool thing about the heart math is that it's intriguing. So your free offer could be just describing what it is.
Like here's what it is, here's how it was created, here's all the facts about it and the benefits and what it can do for people.
ACTION ITEM: Email HeartMath to confirm legal permission to teach their tools in a course. - WATCH
And then if they want, they can purchase the heart math course from you, where they can learn some really incredible things to integrate into their life.
@45:49 - Lorraine
Yeah, I hope it's legal with heart math.
@45:56 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, you have to look into that. Um, whether it is or not, um, you can always take, you know, the different modalities you have, like, put them all together and make your own thing and describe it in your own way.
@46:11 - Lorraine
Yeah.
@46:13 - James Guiry
Or do some research, like, who's doing it right now. Like, you don't have to reinvent the wheel. Google who's doing heart math, like what you want to do.
Like, because of a good artist copy, great artist deal, right? So take it, put your own little spin on it.
But you don't have to reinvent it because that's the pressure of, like, trying to create something, right? Just, like, see what's out there.
@46:36 - Lorraine
know, because I do research that I saw some people leading a specific technique many seconds and all this, but I didn't, I need to research further.
@46:46 - James Guiry
Thank you. It's like deconstructing, right? can I deconstruct it? You watch a movie, you see how they made it?
Same with this, right? deconstruct it.
@46:56 - Lorraine
Oh, no.
@46:57 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Thank you. Lauren, did you go through through the HeartMath certification program?
@47:02 - Lorraine
Yeah, I do.
@47:04 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
OK.
@47:06 - Lorraine
by coach, mentor, you can use either word.
@47:10 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Awesome. Yeah, I did a quick search in chat, CBT, and it said, once you've completed certification, you're authorized to legally teach and use the HeartMath system in your practice or business.
This allows you to share HeartMath techniques, tools, with individuals, groups, or organizations. So, yeah, it looks like you can, but I would definitely do some research into the certification.
You have an email, someone, ask if it's possible. because you've got the certification, that might have given you the ability to be able to teach this, which is very valuable, to legally actually teach the full thing.
@47:49 - Lorraine
So I would look into that. Yeah, I definitely need to look into that, because earlier on when I took it, there were, I think, a little more squirrely about it.
But now they're just trying to get it out to the program.
@47:59 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. And sometimes, yeah, sometimes if people pay for a certification, it gives them kind of a legal way to sell it.
But yeah, a quick email to them, I think, would be beneficial just to make sure that it is all legal.
@48:17 - Lorraine
Thank you.
@48:18 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. But does that process kind of make sense of this, course, you're guiding someone from here to here. And then in the free content, you're sharing all the benefits and all the facts and information about it.
@48:35 - Lorraine
Yeah, it does make sense. And then further down the pipe could be the part cards after that, either the product, physical product or the audio, I end up doing that.
@48:48 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, exactly. And the cool thing about what we'll be doing is there is the ability to create upsells. So if someone purchases your course and upsell
could be they also add on your heart cards and there's always going to be a percent of people who who choose yes.
So you should always have some kind of upsell. There's order bumps as well, which is when you're filling out information, they can check a box if they want to add something to the order.
It's usually a smaller ticket item. So you could you could sell both at the same time.
@49:22 - Lorraine
Hopefully I'll be able to follow the instructions. Yeah, it should be pretty straightforward.
@49:31 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Definitely as you as you go through this module, let me know if there's anything that feels confusing.
@49:37 - Lorraine
Okay, yeah, you said I'm a good test subjecting. The future force is you might need to filter people who you let in or something.
@49:47 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Well, you're definitely you're definitely a good test subject for this. Yeah, and you can first be like I know that you have the ability to do it.
I definitely need you. And I think there might be a little bit of that like trusting oneself and like stepping into like actually maybe you are learning more about technology.
Maybe you are knowing more than you knew before when technology was more scary and you can start to step into a new identity of I actually can do this.
Thank you. Yeah.
@50:28 - Alli Bee Yoga
I'm riding my course as we speak. I'm like. Get it Ali.
@50:35 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. That's what I'm talking about. That is it. And we got the lake view.
@50:44 - iPhone
I have a couple questions if you're free to do a couple questions. Yeah totally. First I want to talk about a few questions regarding
TikTok, what is, if someone reposts, reposts, reposts, reposts, reposts?
@51:08 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, reposting, it's when they press the little repost button and they send it to all of their followers.
@51:16 - iPhone
So do you get followers because of that or do they just get the followers?
@51:22 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
No, yeah, you get the followers, you get the views. Essentially, what they're doing is everyone who follows them will see your video and then it will say that they reposted it on the bottom.
@51:34 - iPhone
So essentially, they're just saying, hey, check this video out to all of their followers. So do they add a curiosity?
they get credit too? Like, they get credit for someone seeing the... I don't understand how that works. They don't get anything.
@51:51 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
someone repost your video?
@51:55 - iPhone
Yeah, I've had a couple people repost, but I didn't. was like... like that.
@52:01 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. So for example, if if I reposted your video, I press the repost button, everyone who follows me on their feed, they would see your video.
And on the very bottom left, it would say reposted by Michael. And it's just basically someone saying, I like this video so much, I want my followers to see it as well.
So they don't really get anything from it.
@52:26 - iPhone
They just liked it and want to share it. But I get like a little hit for the view.
@52:32 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Is that how that works? Yeah. Anyone who views it from that, it's as if they just stumbled upon your video naturally.
@52:38 - iPhone
Oh, that's nice. Okay. wasn't sure. was like, wait, can I just like say goodbye to that video? know, I wasn't sure.
Like, if it just went into the, I don't know where, you know what I mean? Like, when I want someone else's world?
@52:52 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Okay.
@52:53 - iPhone
Yeah, no, it's a great thing. That's a great thing.
@52:56 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Like, not only do you get the views from that, but also it means that you're posting content that people like enough that they want to re-share it, which is awesome.
@53:04 - iPhone
Okay, so that's good. And this is going to sound silly. But, and I know you addressed this. I haven't really got comments other than a couple like that they like it or something like that.
First of all, there's not really a section where the comments come right. Does it go under just one video?
Like if you see a name pop up and it says comment, do you have to go to the actual video to find where the comment goes?
If you, is that like a, is that like one section that you can see like comments for different videos and you can just answer it boom, boom, in one place?
@53:44 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
You can do that in your notifications section. So on the, on the bottom of, of the talk, you can go into your inbox and you can tap comments and it will show a list of all comments people have made from all of your videos.
And there is like a little mini reply button that you and quickly just comment to those, or you could go to the video and just tap comments and see all the comments for just that video.
@54:08 - iPhone
Yeah, I haven't had that many, just might say, oh, thank you, or I like that, what if I'm doing that.
But yeah, and great to comment on them. Okay, so that's my other question. So I see that there's like, you can hit, you can tell them, so I don't do technology.
So they have like a little heart or a little thumb, but is that considered replying? I don't even know, or do you actually put it in that little box?
Is that comments? hearts are liking.
@54:42 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
So if someone likes something, they'll double tap it, and it'll essentially like the video.
@54:47 - iPhone
algorithm loves likes, so the more likes it gets, the more whatever. Okay, I'm just. Next to their little comment, there's a choice, there's a little tiny heart and like a little, maybe a thumbs up or a thumbs down.
I don't know where.
@55:10 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah.
@55:10 - iPhone
If I hit one of those two, I thought I'm going to hit someone a thumb down, but that doesn't count as a comment though, right?
@55:19 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
That's kind of like... Correct.
@55:22 - iPhone
Yeah, that is essentially... That's a giveaway. That's better than I put something in the comment section.
@55:29 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. I mean, I would like it because if you like someone's comment, it'll say liked by the creator on it.
So it does like show up for everyone else that you liked that specific comment. Also in their notifications, they'll get a notification that says that you liked their comment, which just feels really good for everyone.
You're developing that community. And the comment like... It up votes all the comments, so you can see what comments the most popular one.
@55:59 - iPhone
But you put it in the... That little comment little bar.
@56:02 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, it's like on the comment. There's like a little heart and you can tap that and it likes it.
Simple or like Facebook is a little thumbs up.
@56:11 - iPhone
Oh, OK, so with that little heart, it's hardest way because I was like so silly.
@56:17 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, it's like a little heart.
@56:19 - iPhone
OK, so the heart counts as a comment or no? No, the heart's just liking it. Just double checking and then in that little bar, I didn't see a thing that you hit.
Like if I made a comment, the reason I say so I don't use something totally ridiculous. I can't take it back.
know I'm I'm trying to figure out before I do something and they go oops. So I didn't say like a button.
You know, when you text message, you could put like some emoji or a statement and then you hit whatever it is for send.
I don't know. don't even pay attention, but whatever it is. And then it sends it off. But I knew she's like a button you hit.
So I didn't want to put something in and then it just sent it off. Or I did something and I didn't get a chance to think of it.
Like, so how does it run?
@57:13 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I just didn't see it.
@57:14 - iPhone
Like when you're posting a comment, like your own comment? Yeah. Yeah, a comment back to it.
@57:20 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, I usually just press the return button on the keyboard. I think there's like a little arrow that you can press to send it.
@57:29 - iPhone
All right, everything you put in there will be public. So definitely, you know. Yeah, I mean, I have people over this whole thing.
So I don't have to do anything strange be having button. push to something. Probably that would be viral by doing whatever.
the thing posted. Yeah, you know, so that's me. I'm like, oh my God, do I push this button?
@57:56 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
right, touch this. Like, I don't want to comment or do anything or. Yeah, so here on.
@58:02 - iPhone
Yeah, okay.
@58:04 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Let me see it. There's no there's no button at the end of it, but down below the little red one.
@58:09 - iPhone
That's the one that it's going to send it. The little red button.
@58:13 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Okay. Yeah, it's like a little red arrow pointing up.
@58:16 - iPhone
That'll that'll post the comment. Okay, perfect.
@58:20 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Thank you.
@58:21 - iPhone
Okay, I wasn't sure about that. And then I know this is going to be college. But I had a few followers, not many, but I had a few.
And I took them off because I was having bad dreams. And once I took them off with a bad dream.
So what do I need those followers technically? mean, it was bad mojo. So I didn't want bad mojo. Like I left a few.
I felt like. There you go. I lost you. But even, uh, there we go, but ideally, you don't want to take those off, right?
I mean, I do because I don't want bad mojo, but yeah, if someone is, is, is given some bad mojo in the comments, feel free to it was just, like, it's just, it was coming at us too much.
It's the vibe. Yeah.
@59:27 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, go. You listen to your strong, your intuition and, and you trusted it and it felt better. So yeah, getting rid of a few followers is, is totally fine if it makes you feel good, if it feels like your boundaries are strong.
Yeah. Oh, I, I'm always very quick to block.
@59:42 - iPhone
If someone's like a little bit off, I don't want that energy around. Okay. Yeah. I'm trying to keep it so it's a little more positive, you know what mean?
Yeah. Yes. I, I'm okay. All right. Next time I see what's. Start more quick and then that for example today.
did one Actually two but one it started hitting and I did maybe four after it with nothing So I just took it off within the hour, but I I figure if it's not doing anything I just took it off.
@1:00:17 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah I would usually wait a couple days longer than an hour. Oh, yeah Yeah, I can definitely take a longer than an hour for videos to hit especially now There's a lot of a lot of content going out there So sometimes the algorithm does take some time to kick in Yeah, I've seen I've seen things from like us not working And then like 24 hours later all of a sudden I started to see some action Oh, okay, I wasn't sure just want to double check.
@1:00:43 - iPhone
Yeah And then I guess I'm starting to get an idea maybe of what I might do based on And kind of what's working and what's not working with
ACTION ITEM: Develop outline for course on positive self-talk and mindset. Define target audience (avatar). - WATCH
This is an example, I guess, so I'm just formulating. I don't really quite, like I did, just to play, like maybe I put, made two little assessments.
think I'm going to do it probably on mindset, kind of, like, a word, basically. The reason why you would choose to bring positive words in your negative or lower vibrational words and how that actually benefits you and where to basically focus in your lane, in your world versus getting sidetracked.
Because it seems like everybody seems to like when it's something positive, you know I mean? It makes sense, but like, oh, I really needed that.
Thank you. I'm like, positive. So apparently they're starving for, like, inner positive speak. So I think I might teach.
@1:02:00 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, that is very sure people are definitely looking for more positivity and yeah, if you wanted to create a course around that, it's almost like similar like neurolinguistic programming or it's like how you should like what you say shifts things in your reality.
But again, it's taking people from like how they feel here to once they do the things that you offer, the things that you're going to be teaching them to here.
Like what is what is that transformation going to be?
@1:02:33 - iPhone
And if you can share, I think I'm aiming towards a little bit of like self-talk, self-talk first to step with self-talk.
Because once you start, it's apparently a lot of people have a lot of things going on in their minds.
So if you start bringing that back into positive self-talk, then the positives are your anxiety goes down and then your blood pressure, you know, to be certain.
the positives just from changing the way you talk to yourself let alone how it changes your outside world and relationships once you're starting to bring that positive into your world with yourself for a basic when you're being kind to yourself first so I think I'm gonna do that I think so that's just my stepping stone for this week I'm just keeping you up to date nice I love a lot of people just a negative voice in their mind and it's like why do I have this negative voice book how can I shift things around and if you can share a solution for that right I can only see that working okay so sometimes you know I realize it's younger because like I put somebody with a suit on one of my pictures and I was like no hit I'm like what do you don't love a suit I don't even think they know what a suit is so I can't even show like
The whole different mindset of who I'm, who I'm creating a demographic is. Yeah, who the demographic is, yeah. Nice.
@1:04:11 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, it's great to think about. Think about your avatar, like, who is that person you're speaking to when you're creating the course?
Like, what do they look like, what's their gender, what's their age, what are they interested in, what do they need, and always having them in your mind of, like, OK, like, this is who I'm creating it for, makes it a little bit easier to create it.
@1:04:28 - iPhone
Mm, I like that. OK, so I'm going to think of my avatar this week on top of those other things, like, really strongly from the feedback and everything.
@1:04:38 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
So awesome.
@1:04:39 - iPhone
Yeah. Thank you.
@1:04:40 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I appreciate it.
@1:04:42 - iPhone
Yeah.
@1:04:43 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Thank you. Beautiful.
@1:04:51 - Lorraine
Well, navigating the course, right, creators, I mean, once you. Checked a bunch of things and I've gone through a few modules and then I somehow I got a little confused Can you you can go back and rewatch stuff, right?
@1:05:07 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
mean, yeah So even if you've watched it in a little checkbox on it, you can still go back and rewatch it as many times as you like Yeah, You are still working on what your paid offer is and the outline of it recording it and all of that but the next step is Creating the video for it So i'm just going to very quickly before we hop off this call just go over like a brief outline of what that Free offer looks like so that you can start to think of it because a lot of it is going to be like what are the benefits Of what you're doing.
as you're creating your course You can start to think of like maybe even writing down like some benefits writing down some testimony
Monio is writing down some stories, start thinking of transformational moments, things like that. Cool. So I'll just go over the basic outline of what this free class is basically going to be.
The first thing you want to do is welcome people with excitement. You want to let them know that you are excited for them to be there.
You are going to share what the class is. You're going to share your name, like the basics. quick, very simple.
Not going to spend too much time on it. And then a very, also very quick. In the beginning, you want things to be quick, quick, quick, quick, so people attention is like staying with you.
Very quickly, what is the class overview? Like, what are they going to do bullet points? You're going to learn this, you're going learn this, I'm going to teach you this.
Super quick, super easy. And then you're going be sharing about yourself, who you are professionally, and also some fun things about you, like where you live.
Maybe you have like a dog. maybe, you know, like maybe your dog is a wolf, you share some things that people find to be interesting so that they can get to know you and really like you.
And then you're gonna share your story. So you are teaching something, but there's a reason why you're teaching it.
So what is your story to get to that point? You know, like in my past life, when I talk a lot about how I did my own past life regression, I learned so much about myself and I wanted to share that with other people so I created this thing to be able to share with other people.
And bright creators that talk about how I was working at a pizza shop with no money in the bank, plenty of credit card debt, and I just like went all in on creating a system that would create a business.
So the reason why you created the program you created without ever yet talking about the fact that it is a program right now you're only focusing on the class.
When you do share your own story, you're essentially building trust, trust, very, very important. And so the next thing you want to do is build a desire.
And this is where you are sharing, basically, you're teaching the what and the why, and then you're going to be selling the how, which is the course, like how to do it step by step on how to do it.
You teach the what and the why, and you sell the how. So some of things you're going to include in it, you're going include facts, stories of other people's transformation, what's the science behind it?
there is any science, are there any studies behind it? What are the benefits they are going to get? If you have clients and you teach, you guide people through this, what is their success story?
Why is it important? How can it transform lives, et cetera? Things like that, a lot of facts you can put into it.
That is going to be like the potatoes of your class, essentially teaching people all about it if there's the history of
that you can share, you know, a brief history, if it's like a really interesting history, you can talk about it.
When I talk about the past life stuff, I talk about some of the most fascinating things that have happened in history that deal with past lives that prove that past lives exist, because everything you're building desire, like I want to prove that past lives exist for as well for any skeptics.
And I want to share about some really awesome things that happen to get people excited about wanting to learn, like what the benefits of learning about your past lives.
So by the time you eventually get into the transition into the sale, the transition is usually done through telling some sort of story of how this particular course came to be.
So you've told your story of why you're talking about what you're talking about, but there's also story of eventually you created a course.
So you shared, this happened to me, so I created. You know, how to have positive self-talk or how to change your life with self-talk.
And then once you share that you have something, that's when you can introduce this course. I'm going to take you from A to B.
From this to that, you're going to learn this. Here are all the benefits of doing this. If you have testimonials, that's the place to share testimonials.
And you can get into why you created it. So that's still getting into the desire. You're sharing a lot of desire.
You're opening them up and also you are offering your creating value. So you're making what you're about to share with them very valuable, all the things in it.
The final thing in that freebie masterclass would be creating urgency. And also, all of this stuff is going to be in its own videos and print out that you can have.
So just know that it will be all in this week's content. as well. Creating urgency. So one of the best ways to create urgency is to offer a lower-priced option, a discounted option, right then and there on that page.
So if they're off the page, not going to get it. If they're going to get it on your website, it's going to be a high-ticket, you know, $200 or so if they get it on that page, it's $47.
So let them know again basically what they're going to get. Like you're going to get emailed, like very tangibly.
can get emailed, you get full like if it's two hours of content or if it's five videos, you can start to share some of some of those things that are going to get in it tangibly.
And the experience of this to that, really honing in on this to that the A to B. Let them know the deals only available on that page and then a clear call to action.
So the call to action is tap the button below, you know, doing a lot of e-commerce calls to action are super super super important.
Yeah, so like tap the button below to get it. And at the very end of the video, I put on the screen, tap the button below and text, tap the button below.
So it's like they know exactly what to do. Like they are being guided to do that. Clear call to action, create the urgency, let them know that it deals only on this page.
got to get it now.
@1:12:38 - Alli Bee Yoga
So can you put hobby courses like on the Instagram page?
@1:12:43 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
So on the end, yeah, you can link to Kajabi courses so they can just purchase the course. But what we'll be doing in here is guiding them to the free offer and the free offer they watch it and then they can purchase the course.
@1:12:56 - Alli Bee Yoga
But if you just want to send them directly to the course to purchase it, you can also do that.
Okay because I was the game link in bio for like Instagram post like I know you can put the link in stories but can you put a link in post and reels?
@1:13:15 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
In reels what you can do is we'll use many chat and I'll teach you guys how to set it all up but many chat and you say comment retreats.
@1:13:24 - Alli Bee Yoga
I didn't know how to do that.
@1:13:26 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah that one's awesome that's that's one of the final steps where all they got to do is just comment retreats it sends them a DM with a link directly to whatever you want to be missing my whole life because like honestly I miss it if I try to be like comment now and then they do it like three weeks later and I like don't even look at that post anymore.
@1:13:52 - Alli Bee Yoga
I'll miss that.
@1:13:55 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Exactly. Having it all automated is really really really really nice.
@1:14:00 - Alli Bee Yoga
That's how to enter Twine, chat, that chat mini or whatever with Instagram. I guess it's like another program I have to like sign in and like make sure it's adopted.
@1:14:13 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, it's it's its own website manychat.com it is like in my Instagram to that website.
@1:14:21 - Alli Bee Yoga
Yeah. Okay.
@1:14:25 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, and it's like a little flow chart that you set up. So, if someone comments this, this or this, you send them this and then also it can automatically comment on their comment, like check your DMs, you know, you can put like 20 different ones so that it looks like you're actually commenting back to them.
@1:14:43 - Alli Bee Yoga
Okay, cool. And I guess it'll keep track of like what word is on each page with what course I've offered.
@1:14:51 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, you can do it where either on any post, if they mention this word, it'll send it to them or you can do it per post.
It's only on this post that they've been sitting for.
@1:15:02 - Alli Bee Yoga
One post is ready, one post is, you know, let's go.
@1:15:07 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, and usually you want to think of a word that is like something people won't say often, so it's not just like randomly sending.
know. Yeah, and then I also put in different spelling variants because I found people misspell all the time.
@1:15:22 - Alli Bee Yoga
Oh, yeah. Okay. Cool. So that's next week?
@1:15:27 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
That'll probably be next week. Yeah. I'd say potentially next week, yeah. Yeah. Towards the end, there's the many chat, which is all the Instagram, the email marketing, which is once they're in your system, what does that process look like to nurture that lead?
And that's pretty much it.
@1:15:53 - Alli Bee Yoga
Okay.
@1:15:54 - Lorraine
I got one clarification thing, sorry, get things blurting. together. But so this thing is free thing where you're describing what you're going to get in the content force.
Are you you're doing a video like a post to I have this free thing or it's gonna yeah, I mean, it's it's a good question.
@1:16:21 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
So I haven't yet created the modules for that. But basically, it is going to be a something that they it's going to be a link that you share.
So on on your Instagram, you can say tap the link in my bio to get my free class on HeartMath.
And when they tap the link in your bio, it's going to take them to a page where they can enter their email address to get the free class.
And then once they've entered their email address, then it goes to another page that has a video that you've created and you upload that to Kajabi.
So I'll guide you through the step. I step process on how to do all of that Yeah, I know it sounds like a little bit complicated like pages and links and stuff But if you follow along step by step, you'll see it's it's pretty easy Hey, Michael is there like a link on that free offer that or not the offer but the low ticket offer How long do you think that video should be to keep attention?
If you're selling something that's like a lower ticket like, you know, 47 or so like 20 minutes is a good amount of time.
I've seen someone do like 15 minutes and it worked for her If it's if it's entertaining, you know, 30 minutes But if you are selling something a higher ticket that can go up to like two hours if you if I personally wouldn't want to do Two-hour event, but I have seen that Where it's just like they're just given a ton of information and knowledge and Do that sale at the end Cool So So the takeaway is build your low ticket
@1:18:00 - James Guiry
get off. Then build the free offer, right? Kind of going backwards, basically.
@1:18:06 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, because in the free offer, you'll be promoting the paid offer. And if you already created it, it's much easier to share about what they're going to get.
@1:18:16 - James Guiry
And then during the free offer, you would maybe like show what you've created, like maybe like little snippets of like the video, like, going to get this and you show a little, be like a two second video, like a preview of it, maybe like a little, I would think, right?
@1:18:32 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, you can definitely do that. In my past life regression masterclass, at the end of it, when I'm like, I've got this, this awesome thing, if you want to go deeper, you want to learn it, you want to specialize at home.
And then I do share a screenshot of the back end of the course, or maybe it's a video of me scrolling down through it, just to make it feel even more tangible.
Like, here's what you're going to get. So that's optional. You don't necessarily need to do that, but you can, that's when you can start to get into the more of like a trailery vibes where it's like, I even like, towards the end of,
If my video adds some music to it, that's like pump them up kind of music. But does that work?
I don't know. Maybe it does. People seem to, to some people have commented on like, I was high job inside bought it at the end.
So you can add whatever you feel feels good towards the end of your video to hype them up and get them really excited about buying it.
@1:19:20 - James Guiry
Cool.
@1:19:23 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Awesome. Cool. Well, sending you guys blessings. This week, I hope you have a wonderful week, creating, outlining, making your videos.
@1:19:36 - Lorraine
Well, that was cool. How did you do that?
@1:19:40 - Alli Bee Yoga
That's not good.
@1:19:41 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I get balloons too sometimes.
@1:19:47 - Alli Bee Yoga
Like, I don't know if can be excited when I'm excited and then it's like, boom. James has got them too.
@1:19:56 - James Guiry
He's got it. Right.
@1:20:00 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Oh, is new, but it is your favorite. You to shake it. No, I think now it's raining on James.
@1:20:07 - James Guiry
Yeah, so if you go into the very top of you have a Mac, it has a little green button up there.
So there's there's little fireworks behind me, but I have a green screen on, so it's acting little weird. So yeah, if you go up on top of your screen, it gives you like portrait lighting, studio effects, all that fun stuff.
Ooh, look at that.
@1:20:29 - Lorraine
I don't know.
@1:20:32 - James Guiry
The problem is I had that thumb thing, and I was doing a session, right? This lady was like, was a really tough session, and the thumbs down was coming up at a moment when she was like, having a tough moment.
@1:20:44 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
was like, I was thumb zing down the video. I'm like, oh my god, this is terrible.
@1:20:49 - James Guiry
I'm not thumbing. Yeah, so I turned that off.
@1:20:52 - Alli Bee Yoga
turned that speech.
@1:20:53 - James Guiry
was like, oh no, I like it. Yeah, so turn off that feature if you don't want it. Okay, so oh gosh don't need that reaction all the time, but that was good.
That was like when you did it.
@1:21:07 - Alli Bee Yoga
I was good.
@1:21:07 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I like that cool Awesome my friends. All right. So some zoom effects for you guys.
@1:21:15 - James Guiry
Yeah Yeah, the the you have the zoom like um You have those like special features on the zoom where it's like Changes like the whole everything like the we're all have like soft skin.
Don't we right?
@1:21:29 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Everyone's like perfect skin, you know Yeah, you gotta put the you gotta put the soft skin filter on the soft.
@1:21:36 - James Guiry
Yeah The talk you name it cool All right Awesome And then do you so if we were to do something like create something or it's that something you could look at to like oh Yeah, you know, kind of like I don't want to take all your time.
know you have other stuff Um, but is there a way to like I guess we could post it in our group chat people could look at it like hey This is a draft thoughts on it.
@1:21:59 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, I would post it in the in the group chat to get the collective idea of what it is.
I can't say that I can watch everyone's, you know, 20 minute video, 20 to an hour minute long master class.
But yeah, post it in there.
@1:22:14 - James Guiry
If I got time, I'll check it out.
@1:22:16 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Cool. But yeah, I will give you the outline of of it. So it's like, these are the main points to do.
And if you have any questions on specific parts of it, like, what you think of it is that happy to happy to get.
@1:22:32 - James Guiry
I got you. Cool.
@1:22:36 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Awesome.
@1:22:38 - James Guiry
Thank you so much.
@1:22:39 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Thanks, Michael. Have a good day. Hello.
@1:22:41 - Alli Bee Yoga
Thank you guys.
@1:22:46 - Stephanie Banner
Thank you.
@1:22:47 - Lorraine
Bye, everyone.
@1:22:47 - Stephanie Banner
Thanks.
@1:22:48 - Alli Bee Yoga
To hear you
@1:23:00 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Be here till you end it.
@1:23:03 - Alli Bee Yoga
Well, I'm excited.
@1:23:04 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I'm excited for you to create this course.
@1:23:08 - Alli Bee Yoga
I really am too. wrote down like eight out of this fall courses just now. So I was like, this could be a free thing.
I was thinking I'm doing a manifesting like mantra workshop that they can like find when that works and put it on their mirror and say it every morning.
Amazing.
@1:23:28 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, I love that. I love that. Yeah, from the free offer to the paid offer, that is the key.
@1:23:34 - Alli Bee Yoga
Yeah, so I was thinking I don't know if I should do like like a little mini course that's free or if should offer like a manifesting mantra thing that's free.
But that wouldn't really be, I don't know.
@1:23:52 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, I mean either could potentially work. You just want it to guide them into that thing. So it should be something along the lines.
@1:24:00 - Alli Bee Yoga
of what that main thing is. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I think the manifesting thing is just like an extra perk or something else that they can buy for, you know, $5 that they want.
@1:24:13 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, yeah, exactly. It could be a little upsell that they get.
@1:24:18 - Alli Bee Yoga
Yeah, yeah, it's a great idea.
@1:24:20 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
It's good to have a lot of stuff. I have so many like little things that I've added them all around and it does add up.
@1:24:26 - Alli Bee Yoga
It's like add up at end of your big sale. It's like, well, if you wanted to, because I'm going to already be giving like a scheduling template, but if they wanted to add the manifesting mantra, they could do it right now for $19.99.
@1:24:43 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, exactly.
@1:24:44 - Alli Bee Yoga
And normally it's X amount.
@1:24:46 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah. Yeah, it does work. Upsells are super important because it creates the average order of value is much higher.
@1:24:53 - Alli Bee Yoga
if you advertise that in the meeting.
@1:24:57 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I have not yet. I'm going to get into that one we've finished all this stuff and get into like, yeah, all the add-ons to it.
@1:25:04 - Alli Bee Yoga
is, it's pretty important. Yeah.
@1:25:08 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
There's a bunch of a bunch of little good thing to kind of brainstorm as your brainstorming your course. Like, what can you add on?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Good thing to think about the fact, and it's the add-on, like the bonuses that people get in the course, but also the upsells, which are separate, but they can purchase it as well.
@1:25:29 - Alli Bee Yoga
Yeah, smart. I'm so glad I got this little team behind me to help me do this because I'm like, I knew that was coming.
I didn't know it would come while I was doing the course, but it's like a fire under my butt.
@1:25:45 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, that's great. Sometimes we need that fire under our butt to like really make it happen. That's how I work.
There's often like something that pushes it to make it happen.
@1:25:55 - Alli Bee Yoga
Yeah, it's like people are wanting it. I have the info. keep repeating it. Let's just get it somewhere.
@1:26:00 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Great son.
@1:26:01 - Alli Bee Yoga
Yeah, it feels good. Feels right.
@1:26:04 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Awesome. we'll her life a hug, Taylor.
@1:26:08 - Alli Bee Yoga
I'm looking forward to meeting her one day, maybe.
@1:26:10 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
Yeah, we definitely want to take a trip out to Austin.
@1:26:13 - Alli Bee Yoga
So if we do, we'll let you know. Oh, my gosh.
@1:26:16 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I want to take it all out for dinner. So yeah. That'd be fun.
@1:26:20 - Alli Bee Yoga
That'd be awesome. Oh, when you come, I'll try to like, forget my schedule.
@1:26:26 - Michael Armstrong ([email protected])
I definitely will. Definitely will. All right, we'll have a wonderful week. Ali? Thank you. You too, Michael. All right, take care.
